[Soaring Feather]

My Dragon Fly and Me

If I could be a Dragon Fly
and wing my way through the sky
I would never be shy
just me and my Dragon Fly!

By moonlight we ride the wind
chase the comets tail for fun
by day we would hide from the sun
our fragile wings would come undone

On darkest nights we would use
fireflies as our guide
we would dip and we would glide
through the heavens open wide
and scatter diamonds in the night sky
my Dragon Fly and me...

And we would wing past our lovers
silent in the night...
to kiss their face in our flight
much to their surprise and delight
my Dragon Fly and me in sight...

Such a view do we share
away up here in the air
of breezes soft through our hair
my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

One cold night I gazed
at stars
pointed a finger
directly at Mars
and dreamed one day
my name would be
out in space
just he and me

'Twas a dream
one frigid night
with Mars in the heavens
shining bright
there in the wind, icy cold
a whisper heard long fore told
together out there we would be
just The Dragon Fly and Me.

Together we stand our ground
out there
hand in hand near the rim
daylight-dark looking in
and twilight low and dim
gossamer velvet he and I
Just we two My Dragon Fly and I

Serendipitous song sung
far and wide hither and yon
through the country side wide
from the heavens ringing high
loud and clear I see
A pair of Dragon Flies so dear.

Good morning, although it's already afternoon on the west coast so probably evening where you are. I'm resting from my labors on this Labor Day weekend, listening to music, cuddling with my cat, strolling in the park, eating good food, being grateful to God.
