Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Sand and Stone and Pool and Dell...
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
|
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Heh... dontcha love construction? They're doing something at school. It involves taking out half the parking spots at the student center. Yesterday they put up a fence. Today they've managed to add portajohns and signs that said "This Way To Student Center" in case students are too stupid to figure things out themselves. I can see it taking a long time...

Great...and that's where I gotta walk through, isn't it?
And I've already missed the first bus...decided I didn't want to leave the house before coffee.

Don't worry, just head toward the building right away. You can get around the fence, they have some sense.

If you're thinking about putting a flood light on the roof of the porch be careful that it doesn't shine into the eyes of anyone opening the front door from inside. ;o)
Is there some reason you didn't want to put it on the ground in front of the porch, shining upwards?

And they get this going just before snow season? Typical!

I usually cut through to the oval by going past Engineering. Is that still clear?
At least I know how to get to the building this time around.
I'm worrying about the potential questions..."Why are you applying for an admin job when you're a technician, hmmmmmmm? And why have you been slacking off all summer?" At least this time I can reference the volunteer job, and give them their number if they want it.

Heh...yeah, we were discussing that the other day, trying to understand their logic. If any.

Yeah, just stick close to the buildings, I think it's clear.

In the ground would be fine. But I don't want a "flood" light. I want the light concentrated on just the wreath.

Ow, Ow, Ow!!! OB's had some of that kind of work, and it is exceedingly painful (both physically and monetarily). You have our condolences.
To: LSAggie
Yeah, this is the tooth I had the root canal on last year about this time (and subsequent billing issues). The root canal is okay, but the tooth is cracked and has to come out. Surgeries involve putting in an implant for a new crown. We're not looking forward to this...

Pinging OT--I think she had to have this done last year.

Hey OT, didn't you have something like Corin's talking about having to have done? Something about Dr.Z needing a new deck on his summer home (that OB and I paid for). /sarc He's a great dentist.

I can't see the picture, who's it of?

But I already bought the retirement home for the dentist that's retiring. This is his new partner taking over the business.
Maybe he's getting married...

I'm surprised that they did the root canal without also removing the tooth!
