Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Sand and Stone and Pool and Dell...
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
|
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Yeah, she died early in the summer. I wrote an e-mail to another woman who had been active in the group up until a year ago, hoping that maybe she was a co-owner, or had been given the privilege to create Moderators, but I haven't heard from her yet.
Barring that, according to Yahoo, we'll have to close this group and start a new one and I didn't want to do that if I could help it. I'm thinking it would be disruptive, but am I wrong about that? You just started a new one. Did you have to turn around and send out invites to everyone on the old group to join the new one?

If you have access to the "members", there's a link at the top of that section that says "Download". It'll give you access to a list of email addresses that you can just automatically subscribe people.
You can start a new egroup, then just subscribe everyone. You can do 10 a day.
OR you can in "invite" everyone, using the same list and you can do 50 per day.
I wish I was there with you so you could sign in and let me look around at what you can do...

Heh...though his "playful, roguish side" sometimes is a little rough on Simon.
But then...so's everyone and everything else.
I think we lost track of the total number of punch-Simon moments. There's at least one an episode.
Poor little guy.

my heart flutters over that too! :D (although not as much as for a four-foot-something gondorian guard of the tower)

Heh...actually, I was complaining on account of not being pinged to the Faramir picture. Though...I guess that goes for the other, too.
And I don't exactly mind this picture, neither...
Heh...we watched "The Bourne Supremecy" awhile back, and Jen was givin' me a hard time on account of I was rooting for Karl Urban's character instead of the good guy.

My inner child is forty-five years old! I've never really liked children, not even when I was one.:o
