Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Sand and Stone and Pool and Dell...
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
|
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Well....they served it in a coconut and it got her drunk.
He told her that they added Bacardi as a preservative to keep the milk from spoiling. :)

Back from Jr's football game. We lost. I think the final score was 45-0. Was frustrating because the coach played first stringers that missed practice this week. I'm pretty sure we signed a form that said "you don't practice, you don't play."
When he finally put in the 2nd string, they actually held the line for the first time all evening. That's when Jr. got to play. But there was only 4 minutes left in the game.
Gotta check out now. I'm driving a remnant of yutes to the yute retreat tomorrow morning. Most went earlier tonight. I'm taking the football players, a couple of cheerleaders and a band member or two. Gotta be at the church at 5:30ish.

OMG!
First the President has to take a potty break, then a 21-year-old acts like a 21-year-old!
Surely these are the end times.

Well, it is a local story after all. He was picked up on 6th Street (center of Austin's night life.)

Yeow! Get that thing outta my eye! :-)I'm even worse. I flinch even from the compressed-air glaucoma test. The tech said she's never seen a reaction that fast. The only reason I can sit still for the test (after several attempts), is that I don't have to have my eyes dilated with drops, instead.
Eyedrops are just about impossible for me (I just know when that drop is about to fall). And forget about contacts or laser surgery. Ain't nobody going to be bombarding my eyes with a high-powered laser or RF.
So I happily stay with glasses.

Yep. I am the head of the Video Rooms department and the Tech department.

Mmmm.....coffee....good.
What to do today? Think I'll repot some plants. Need to do some cleaning. Probably should go pick more rubble out of the yard.
Miss Cat is already into her mid-morning nap.
