We always went to AstroWorld in Houston when I was growing up. It's closing down though, this year. I hear it has really gone downhill, though.

Not a good thing to do.
At this point, I think I'd scrub floors if I was given a chance. Actually thinking about applying for housekeeping jobs at the hospital. It'd be horrid, but better than nothing.
But I'm not out of work for lack of trying or pride, and that's what most of them (who haven't had to look for a job lately) would have you think.
Truth is, no group should ever be judged AS a group, and there are bad people in EVERY group and really, really GOOD people in every group.
The whole us vs. them mentality that seems more and more prevalent here makes me sick.

Yeah, I hadn't seen the CSR type positions. May be worth applying for. I don't have business experience, but helpdesk stuff may count as "call center" experience. It's worth a shot.

The Client Service Center is sort of a Help Desk, but most of it is letting them know which department can answer their questions or finding an available Rep in that department to assist them.

I'm debating with myself... my kickboxing partner has called off again, and I really, really don't feel like going. It would make life much easier to skip and do something else. Like homework.

Here are the pups being cute. Jack has his own kennel but prefers Sadie's.
Sadie eventually upgraded her kennel to the tent. She essentially went on strike and said, "I'm not coming out until it's time to go *home*!"
In any case, having phone-related customer service stuff in my background can't hurt, right?
Well...I submitted my application. If I do actually get a call back...well, I owe ya a drink next time you're in the neighborhood. ;-)

And you're right...that IS a big tent! Unless the vehicle is wayyy back and we've got a forced perspective thing goin' on.
I got the little automated e-mail that says they'll be in touch if I meet their needs. *sigh* So now, I wait. On that and other things.
Did have a little interview at Office Max today. That'd be a nice stop-gap, and I'd get to work around paper and other nice things. But the lady seemed kind of suspicious of my wanting to do anything like Office Max even temporarily. So...she may just call and say "Thanks for your time". We'll see.
