Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Sand and Stone and Pool and Dell...
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
|
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

I did, but I used it. I have "wash water" in 2L bottles which is probably potable, but likely stale. You can make the water more drinkable by re-aerating it. Just pour the water back and forth between two containers a couple of times.

Nah, I haven't. That may actually have to wait a while, I just bought "Lost" and the rest of my disposable income for, er, this calendar year is being spent at the anime con this Saturday.
Maybe Rosie will buy it.

Not really. My folks are about 20 miles or so east of Raleigh. Probably will get rain (hopefully) and some wind. Like Corin, the main worry is trees coming down.

We wants Batman Begins, we does. I think it's coming out on DVD near Halloween.

Wouldn't mind at least renting that one, for sure. It was really good!
We still want to do NetFlix at some point.
Well, I dropped off the Admin Assistant job application for the college, and I hafta go take a clerical test next Thursday. The lady said they make a list of folks based on test results and pull three at a time for interviews as openings occur. If I did really well, I'd be in the first three, in other words. If not so well, I'd be asked later on, provided they needed someone.
So...there's that.

Do you have time to read, critique and edit a vanity post I've written? I don't know that I'll post it, that's part of what I want advice about.
I'll FRMail it to you in a minute.

Well, we had 54 people in the egroup...prior to the meltdown, out of 150 ladies.
Now we have 29 out of about 40. That's pretty good stats, I think! You think my keeping the BA CHEF intact had anything to do with it? Celeste tried to get me to just change that egroup to the new one and I didn't and now MOST of the people in our egroup are still members of our support group.
Heh.

See, all the egroup members could see that there was still a group. We posted activities and such that showed them we were still had plans for the future. The people who seemed to be hanging on just to catch any gossip got NOTHING but optimism and planning.

I have to write Yahoo groups again to figure out a way to make someone a Moderator for our homeschool e-group. Only the 'owner' of the group can do it, and the gal who was the 'owner' of the group died suddenly this past summer, and I haven't heard back from Yahoo about what to do now.
