Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Sand and Stone and Pool and Dell...
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
|
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

the Catholic Charities office is right across the street from the New Belgium brewery. Oh dear... Mmmm. Belgian White Beer is YUMMY!!
They'll likely really welcome your help. Catholic Charities is gearing up to help the refugees from New Orleans, and there will be plenty of them. Don't know what your local office might be doing, but I know that they're are going to be vey busy over the next couple of months.

Really? I have no idea what that is, being a wine person rather than a beer person.
Gah, so the chaos isn't over yet. We're having strange wireless networks impinging, dudes who need help cleaning up their machines, stupid people installing software... and did I mention that after Uber-boring Class, I get to spend quality time with DemonLady?

No idea WHERE the brewing place is, rather. No idea about the beer either.

I like their black ale, as I've mentioned here before. Brought some to Shootmoot.
Yeah, I'm wondering how much the various Catholic Charities divisions are connected. I know this one falls under the Diocese of Denver, but I'd think they work with other diocese who need help. I'd like to think I'd be helping in some small way.

Heh...ya know, if I get this job, I'm going to have all kinds of chaos to deal with, I think. And though I'll likely complain here...I'll enjoy much of it just the same.
I want that job. *snif*

I guess I should double-check, to be sure. Starting now, I think. The project should be finished by next Wed. So there's that.

Report on the live thread says TD-13 will become "Lee" at 5:00 p.m. But there's no threat to the U.S.

Rose had her second interview this morning for the Really Cool Job. Now we wait and see if they make an offer.
Right now she's busy studying for her re-take of the certification test that she failed once before. She takes it in an hour and 20 minutes.

Ok! My Christmas Cards for the Military event for BA CHEF is scheduled for September 20th at 1300 hours. The homeschooling Marine will be speaking!
Rick, I need a name...maybe someone you've struck up a friendship with...that I can send these cards to. Someone that can pass them out. Any thoughts on someone who would like a bunch of Christmas cards from a pack of Christian Homeschoolers?
:-)
