Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Sand and Stone and Pool and Dell...
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
|
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

I figured it out. I can open my photo program, tell it I want a picture 1.8 inches square and just cut and paste the face into it.
I found where it gave me the size option as pixels or inches...I chose inches and it was easy from there.

I had an old pictorial directory and I just got out a ruler and measured that size picture. :-)
What's the closest decimal for 1 and 5/8 inch...it doesn't have to be exactly that, it just has to be uniform with several women's faces!

Heh!
I really want to figure it out...my pictorial directories are very informal and cheap. Nothing fancy. Just a quick snapshot and then a crop. I don't know how to put it on a page, but I'll figure it out, even if I just have to print it up paste it physically on a piece of paper and run copies of it that way.
I just took the pictures before. Celeste did the rest.

Should I post 1.625 too, just to be safe? ;-)
We're such a helpful group...
Got another call from a recruiter. That's positive, I guess! The job sounds like a good one, too. So...there's three really good posibilities lined up now, if I include the college one. Haven't heard back on the other two yet, but...it's nice knowing they're there. I've applied for other things, but those are my best bets.

Can you follow up at all on the other two recruiters? It's been a week or two, right?

Well, the newsletter looks pretty good imo...I'm using a Works template and just plugging stuff in.
It's only going to be a page, maybe a page and a half. Heh! The last thing I got from the "other" support group was their newsletter. It was 12 pages long and really deluxe, full color. 'Course, you have to print it up yourself, or pick up an extra someone is kind enough to print up for you.
I'm going to let anyone (paid members) who wants print the one I'm doing up in advance too...but I'll have plenty of extras onhand too...we're expecting a large number at our meeting.
Woohoo! I'm tickled to death.

There is no "other two". There was the call today, and one other. It's been about a week. I guess I could send the other guy an e-mail.

That's right, you got two recruiters calling you about the same position. Right.

I almost felt bad when the second called...though I know they're just doin' their job, and for me, it doesn't really make a difference in the end. But don't the recruiters get some sort of payment from the company if the person they recommended gets hired?
But the job today came through the second. Guess that kinda makes up for it.
