Talking about the movies, remember when you paid 15 cents to get in, under 13 and 25 cents until you were 18, then full price? betcha I stayed under 13 until I was 16. The fully thing about it was the ticket lady knew every one of us, our families and she would let us pass.

Good morning kind lady, visit to doctor yesterday got me a wed appointment for some more checking, one of those 'old man's checkups', 6:30 in the morning next Wed.

Can you believe it? NO RAIN YESTERDAY! Thunder yes, just no rain, at least here on the property. It rains while we were at the doctors office but nothing here.

Hi Toby and lysie

Been up for a while which is unusual for me. Just couldn't sleep after about 3am or so. Spent a while in prayer but then decided to get up.

Have a "test run" scheduled today at 1:15pm. They are to go through the entire radiation treatment process (just without the radiation). If all goes well, treatments will start next Monday.

Just resting and trusting in our unchangeable God.

Ahhh, you are so nice but I can tell you, I will not be riding in the Tour de France anytime soon

Thanks Toby... I think of our time together often. Perhaps after the treatments are over (early November), I'll be traveling your way again. If so, I'll call you and we can have dinner together.

Boy, kassie, it's really a treat to wake up to such a sumptuous breakfast already cooked and waiting for the Dawn Patrol. (Thanks, no Coke for me, but you can pass the coffee again.)

The weather man was wrong again, for we've had no rain here during the past 2 days as he had predicted. He'll spin it by claiming that he was a just a tad premature since it's coming.

No lysie, I'm going to try to make these trips alone for as long as I am able. The Lord does give strength but the doctors have both told me that fatigue will be a major side effect of the radiation, especially after I begin to feel the effects of the first few weeks. Will try to save the neighbor's good will until then.
