This was posted on another thread, and I think it needs to be posted where it will be seen by, and responded to by more prayer warriors!! Please keep this issue raised in prayer!! Today my mom was admitted to the hospital - they have found a "large mass" (doctor's exact words) in her lungs so they are going to do a broncoscopy tomorrow (Aug 18) I believe. In the meantime, she has been the caretaker for my dad who had a stroke 4 years ago, leaving him brain damaged and he has a multitude of health problems (too numerous to name). I have so many decisions to make in the upcoming days and have to find a place for him right now so he is safe and cared for. He is very belligerent to me. I am all on my own in this since I have no help from siblings (one is out of town and one just won't help or contribute any physical or any support at all). 36 posted on 08/17/2005 8:08:56 PM MDT by Paved Paradise

Please notify me via FReepmail if you would like to be added to or taken off the Prayer Ping List.
Please post your prayers to Paved Paradise;
Prayers.
You will definitely be in my prayers. Sounds like you've had a rough row to hoe. May a way open for you to be able to deal with such a blow, and that you be granted strength in such difficult circumstances.
Continuing to pray for grace, peace and comfort for all of you, and healing for your mom, in Jesus' precious Name.
Blessings to you!

Does PP have an FR handle?
O Lord,
there are times
when the darkness seems so deep,
and the way so heavy,
and the cross you have given us to bear
rubs hard against our shoulders.
When the darkness is at its deepest,
be our strength.
Be our light when we see no way out.
Be our hope when the hope we expect
dries up in our worries and our griefs.
When the darkness takes our voices away,
let our silence come to you,
more poignant and deep than any words,
and fill our spirit
with your words.
And in the end, Lord,
help us stay upon that path
until the dawn comes,
and we see your smiling face
and your outstretched hand
there to bring us home.
O Lord, especially be there for Paved Paradise,
his mother and father.
Help the decisions that have to be made.
Bring peace,
and comfort
and open all the doors that need to be opened.
Keep them all in the palm of your hand,
and close always to your heart.
In the name of Jesus, Amen.
Prayers are on the way.
Paved Paradise is the FR handle.
But Jesus will never leave you or forsake you. In the midst of the storm look out upon the raging sea . . into the distance and you will see Jesus walking on the water . . towards you.
~ ~ ~ Mat 8:24 And, behold, there arose a great tempest in the sea, insomuch that the ship was covered with the waves: but he was asleep.
Mat 8:25 And his disciples came to [him], and awoke him, saying, Lord, save us: we perish.
Mat 8:26 And he saith unto them, Why are ye fearful, O ye of little faith? Then he arose, and rebuked the winds and the sea; and there was a great calm.Mat 8:27 But the men marvelled, saying, What manner of man is this, that even the winds and the sea obey him!
Praying for you and your parents. May God keep you in His providence and guide your every decision. May he comfort, strengthen, bless, and be with you as you shoulder the burdens, and face the daunting tasks, so that you may know you are not alone despite the lack of help from your siblings.
"...casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you." I Peter 5:7
I'm asking for prayers for a good outcome and for skill for the doctor and comfort for my mom and of course for my dad too.

Praying those things be fulfilled, and that your mom has a full recovery to good health. Praying for your dad as well, and for you and all of your family. Glad to hear that your niece helped you!
I'm praying for your mother, a safe comfortable place for your father and strength for you to do all you need to do.

LOL Happy, you gave me my first laugh tonight! You've been on the border too long....
Prayers for you and your family, try to take it one day at a time.
Thanks for the ping SmartA.
Bogged down, lol, our friend is back from a trip and I'm catching up on letters!!
My prayers for God to give you the strength to handle the crosses you carry. At times like this I try to remember that the single set of footprints in the sand is Christ carrying me. May he carry you and your parents through this difficult time.
