I've only known of one real person named Cletus, but he sure fit the stereotype. Many years ago, I was a manager for a fast food chain, and briefly had an employee who was an 18-19 year old girl, married to a worthless unemployed drunk who was several years older (and threatened to kill her if she left him). Due to lack of money, they were living in a shed in one their relatives' back yard -- without heat in the winter, in Northern Virginia. And the deadbeat husband's name was Cletus.

pittsburgh ping. this is the kind of story that has people saying we are a suburb of WV.... This is from Greene county, setting for the X Files episode "Home," about the inbred family.

I knew a 'Hermel'....raised 6 kids in a 10 x 40 trailer home.
Worked 4 days a week in the steel mills in Gary, stayed incoherently drunk the other 3. But he'd have given someone the dirty shirt right off his back, if they needed it.

"Was ordered to stand trial on criminal homicide..."Poor guy. I guess he couldn't convince the judge that this was just a case of innocent homicide.

You know there is something to be said for paper plates. You never have to kill your wife for not doing the dishes. We have been eating out of paper plates for a week, and if I have my way, we'll still be eating out of them a month from now. I'm through with washing dishes for the time being.

That sounds like a tough job, especially for a woman ~ not so much physically but you need a thick skin as PC probably isn't practiced my inmates. :)

It can be tough physically. I was working in a men's prison. I had to jump in and break up fights more than once.
PC is not practiced. I have probably A) Been called it all, B)Heard it all or C)Said it all.
Thus I am not easily offended, or shocked by the "F" bomb.
