These stunning cities of the past stand as clues to a mystery thousands of years old. While Europe was in the dark ages, it was the Maya who harnessed the knowledge of the stars, and the celestial movements, to create a mystical union of man, nature and the gods. It was a world of great kings, elaborate ceremonies, fierce battles, and even human sacrifice.
18 Survivors will be marooned within this mysterious and rugged terrain.
For the first time, the castaways will actually live within the ruins of a vanished civilization, and they will be forced to embrace the ancient Maya lifestyle.

Night Tex....thanks again for the screen caps..
Good night folks :) See ya next week!
My new kitty thinks my LCD monitor is a play toy with the mouse pointer. Literally.
Hope you feel better soon!
Looks good so far. And by good I mean "creepy" ;)
Thanks Em....in a couple of weeks I hope to be as good as new...or at least overhauled..LOL
That could be a subject for a reality tv show. :) Sorry you had to go through that though.
Hey jonny. Got the 2nd season of 24 today at the library but when I got to the counter to check it out they noticed that someone else had checked out the first 2 disks!!! Now why separate them? No clue, it must be a democrat. :) Have to wait until Monday. Going thru withdrawals already.
I checked out Season 1 from my library at the same time--they didn't separate the disks. Band of Brothers was the same way. I don't know why they would divide them up.
BTW, did you see the alternate ending? :)
Yes I saw the alternate ending. You could tell they didn't put as much thought into it as the original. Although a part of me would have liked her to live if she had it would have taken away the element of surprise the show has. I went in knowing she would die and was still surprised when she did. Does that make sense?
Do you like Band of Brothers? I have thought of renting it as well.
Yep :) The "real" ending was so well done--I didn't know she was dead until Jack turned her around and saw the blood on her shirt. But even then I thought she would open her eyes ... at least give him some parting words ... But she was already gone.
As sad as it was, it was the perfect ending to the season. The alternate ending was too happy, too sweet. Jack, his wife and his daughter walking away arm-in-arm? (puke!) :)
Band of Brothers is GREAT! It's just as graphic as Saving Private Ryan (gore and language), but it's definitely worth your time. It's been two years since I saw it and I haven't forgotten it :)
I think i will get it next then. We watched season 1 of Monk and it was quite good. The library hasn't gotten the other seasons to it yet but will. I would like to see more of it. Aren't libraries great? I could spend hours in one if I had the time. I want to try to get the books Rush was talking about today. I had never heard of the author until he mentioned him today.
I barely listened to him today (what with the way he's been acting). Did you catch the names of those books?
Tonight, while running down the stairs to see the reward challenge, I slipped on the stairs, landed on a sandel and snapped my left ankle. I heard it pop twice. I pass out from the pain then crawled up the stairs to call a friend to take me to the emergency room. I tore the ligaments in my left ankle, which looks like a grapefruit, and broke one of the bones in my foot. Crutches for me AGAIN!!!! Now I know for a fact the left is cursed, because I've been on crutches THREE TIMES in the past 18 months- all from my damn left foot.
So who got booted?
Didn't you brake your toe on that same foot earlier?
(Blake was booted, but that seems beside the point now ... )
Hope you're okay.
I feel for you - I screwed up my right ankle (big sprain and a small break) for the 3rd time two months ago. It was a pain in the rear going around in crutches, but by focusing on other things, the time passed easily enough. Of course, I can say that now, now that my cast is off....
AND I just learned that a good friend of mine out here broke her ankle this last weekend. Maybe this is contageous?
Just a tip: for my huge office building park, I sometimes used a wheelchair to get around. The wheelchair could sometimes be a pain itself, but it often made life a little bit easier. It certainly made me faster.
It could be worse: since it was your left ankle, you can still drive!
My, gosh. I'm visualizing the fall, the cracking sound, blacking out, coming to and struggling to climb the stairs, struggling to get to the phone. Whew, I'm so sorry...that was terrible.... Ankles can take so long to recover and then they seem to be weak and just waiting to do it again. It's the pits!
Hey sorry I didn't get back to you last night. My youngest had a nightmare and I had to calm her down and by the time she was calm I was tired. :)
I barely listened to him today (what with the way he's been acting). ... Yes, he has been getting under my skin too. I love Rush but every once in a while I need to turn him off for a few days because his arrogance can get to me.It doesn't happen much but I have had 3 reprieves from him this year already. He is still my favorite though. I started listening to him in 90, so I've been a listener for 15 yrs.! Man I'm old. :) 36 Isn't too bad is it?
Did you catch the names of those books?.......I didn't get the name of the books but I did write down the author's name(Vince Flynn) Rush said he is the best espionage writer he has ever read. I haven't gone to his web page yet, but I believe he has written 2-3 books. Well gotta go. Catch ya later.
OUCH! Hope you recover quickly. :)
