Hidden deep in the rainforests of Central America, stand the ruins of an ancient civilization that once prospered, and then vanished. These were the Maya people, and this is the country of Guatemala.
These stunning cities of the past stand as clues to a mystery thousands of years old. While Europe was in the dark ages, it was the Maya who harnessed the knowledge of the stars, and the celestial movements, to create a mystical union of man, nature and the gods. It was a world of great kings, elaborate ceremonies, fierce battles, and even human sacrifice.
18 Survivors will be marooned within this mysterious and rugged terrain.
For the first time, the castaways will actually live within the ruins of a vanished civilization, and they will be forced to embrace the ancient Maya lifestyle.

Interesting picture of Blake and Steph, they DO look like brother and sister.I am less and less impresssed with Stephanie, she is a loser who tries to come across as a winner. She will be toast soon. Everyone on her new tribe knows what happened to her tribe on Palau.
Gary was pretty stupid to say he went to Central Michigan, he just didn't play football there. I think that's when Danni knew for sure he was lying. Why didn't he just say he went to school anywhere else other than Michigan. He knows Danni is a sports expert, she would know where he went to school and she obviously did. Not too bright Gary. Your cover is blown and Danni will use that lie to get rid of you.
Next week Margaret goes bye bye in my opinion. See you all then.

Well I can reliably report that Gary doesn't win..indeed..he gets voted out in the next show, or the one after, becuase this Sunday, after Vinny Testaverde gets killed playing QB..due to his immobility..the NY Jets will sign Hogenboom to a contract..

Man, this is so hard being a West Coast watcher! Can't read the thread before the show comes on or I'll know everything.

Thanks jonny! You are a sweetie. :) I didn't even THINK about the CBS website. I'm an idiot. Sounds like I missed a good one though.:( See ya later.

Gary is so busted.
So, how long before Danni exposes his little secret? If I was Gary, I'd be trying to make an alliance with Danni. He needs to flip someone from the old Nakum tribe, and the 3 guys won't flip. I'm not sure Danni would, be she'd be the one I'd try, if I was in Gary's shoes.

I agree with you about Steph, even though I like her.
Lately she's been coming across as whiney, too. "Why can't I be on a winning tribe." I'm sure that boosted the tribe's moral.
Gary is so busted. But I wonder if anyone will really care when the news comes out. He's obviously not a multimillionaire, like Amy specualted, or else he wouldn't be on the this show.
I hope you're right and Margaret goes next :)

I am less and less impresssed with Stephanie, she is a loser who tries to come across as a winner. I can't think of a challenge her team has lost BECAUSE of her. She did well on the immunity challenge last night. It was more Judd taking too long to hit his target. I think Steph was right to bring up the possibility of bad luck, but she should have mentioned that rarely, if ever, has she been the cause of the loss.

I think Gary screwed up by admitting he went to the college that Danni mentioned. It just adds another piece to make the denials less plausible. He will be outed shortly, and probably booted.

That's why I think he ought to at least try to make an alliance with Danni. He needs to let her know that she's number 4, if not lower, in the pretty boys alliance, and that she would have a better shot of going further with him, Brian, and Amy.
On a related note, she must be some kind of serious football fan(atic). I've been a Cowboy fan since I was a kid, and I couldn't have recognized what Gary Hogeboom looked like now, 14 years later. And, to know what school he went to. Man, that's hardcore!

FYI...two interesting factoids:
1. Friday's NY Post TV section had a blurb that Jeff Probst wants out of Survivor. Plans are, if he leaves, toi replace him with a former contestant..
Today's NY Times Business Section, in a story about the Reality TV genre, reports ratings for this season's Survivor are DOWN 15% from last year.

Perhaps Colby will take his place. After the Austrailian Outback he supposedly went to LA, dated Vanna White and took acting lessons. Vanna has moved on to someone else and I haven't seen Colby in anything other than a commercial, so............ Supposedly he and Jeff became good buds also.

I think the ratings are down for TAR too--probably because of the format change this season.

He was in the movie "Red Eye" this past summer. I didn't see it, but I heard he had a fairly significant part and did a good job. If Jeff really were leaving, Colby would probably be a good replacement.

I was talking with my co-worker about this and she read that Andrew Savage, the really cute attorney from Pearl Islands, auditioned for the spot and rumor has it that CBS was impressed. Also, Colby was on Vegas last night. Was I surprised to see him pop up after I mentioned him yesterday.

How'd he do? I meant to watch Vegas last night, but forgot. I saw it for the first time last week, and it was pretty good.
To: Texas2step
He did a good job for the small amount of air time he had. I hope his new career path takes him far.
