There are reports this afternoon that wide receiver Terrell Owens exchanged words with Head Coach Andy Reid at a team meeting and was asked to leave.
Owens then got his belongings and cleared out of Eagles training camp at Lehigh University, according to one television report.
The Inquirer will update and confirm this information as soon as possible.
A close friend of mine is a maniacal Cowboys fan and he hates TO to the core. I lost count of how many times he told me the story of TO standing on the star and then getting jacked by a Cowboys player.
He knows every detail. The names of all involved. What the coaches and players said. What happened afterward. He's like some mad historian retelling a great battle.

He would have been Super Bowl MVP had McNabb not got anxiety attacks that night.
If Kerry Collins could not throw for 5000 yards with TO and Moss, he should be put out to pasture.
YA! 'Cause the Raiders have such a storied history of suiting up "character" guys.... </sarc>

And it wasn't his fault. He played like a hero
and now he's playing a brat
not as a player
he is one of the best of all time
Unfortunately... team sports isn't one of them."
Bullseye!
Oy.
:-)
well,...maaayyyybbbeee he won't act up. The Raiders usually do well with bad boys
Also, notice that he doesn't skip games. Randy Moss may have all kinds of antics, but he shows up ready to play. In a way, he a whole lot better than TO
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!
Still not much info--

NFL.com wire reports
BETHLEHEM, Pa. (Aug. 10, 2005) -- All-Pro wide receiver Terrell Owens reportedly left Eagles training camp Aug. 10 after a heated exchange with coach Andy Reid.
Comcast SportsNet reported that Reid asked Owens to leave after their argument during a team meeting. Owens then got his belongings and cleared out of training camp at Lehigh University, according to the report.
An Eagles spokesman did not comment on the report. Drew Rosenhaus, Owens' agent, did not immediately return a message left on his cell phone.
Owens has been unhappy for months with his contract, hiring Rosenhaus and threatening to skip camp completely. Instead, Owens reported, then injured his groin Aug 4.
Owens was day-to-day and the injury wasn't considered serious, but he missed practice Aug. 10 for the fifth time in six days.
Owens worked out with the team's assistant trainer for about 20 minutes on a separate playing field from his teammates, catching balls from a machine and doing some light running. He did not speak to reporters or acknowledge the fans who chanted his name.
The Eagles had a special teams practice in the afternoon and Owens was not required to attend.
Owens is unhappy the Eagles have refused to redo his contract as he enters the second season of a seven-year, $48.97 million deal.
Last season, Owens had 77 receptions for 1,200 yards and a franchise-record 14 touchdowns before severely injuring his ankle late in the season. He missed the final two regular-season games and the first two playoff games before returning for the Super Bowl, in which he had nine receptions for 122 yards.
While Owens has been an off-field distraction, the Eagles sorely need his production. Todd Pinkston is on injured reserve and out for the season with a torn Achilles' tendon, and the rest of the wide receivers -- Greg Lewis, Billy McMullen, and Reggie Brown -- are young and inexperienced.
I think you're both correct.
Well, we'll see how it goes. The Raiders do have a calming effect on most of the strays they adopt... other than Todd Marinovich, who was just a bad egg.
I grew up on the Oakland side of the bay, and my family had season tickets for years. Ken Stabler, George Blanda, Fred Biletnikoff... sigh... they just don't make them like that anymore.
Why suppress it? Grin ear to ear and party -- the only fans not doing so are T.O. lackeys...
Yes, he's great on a FANTASY team. But on a REAL team, where TEAMwork is important, he is a blight.
They should cut him tommorow. I know that'll mean they'll have no receivers this year but he's a cancer on that team.
Which is why I love the NFL but hate fantasy football.
Shocked I am not.
