I guess you don't believe in any type of slippery slope.
No offense but this is the dumbest slippery slope example I've heard (not just here, this complaint has been around for hundreds of years.. you should read the history of immigrants (legal) in NYC and how the 'native' Americans (ie, Mayflower claimed legacy(sic)) were worried we would all speak Italian, etc..

Politicians in New York were distributing propaganda in Italian and Yiddish back in the 1910s and 1920s. There were whole streets with signs in German, Italian and Yiddish as well. What happened? The SECOND GENERATION just naturally preferred English.
I have also lived in a Colombian neighborhood in Miami and worked in a Mexican neighborhood in Chicago. In both cases, the parents spoke Spanish, while their children preferred English.
I find you "English is disappearing" folks to be good for a barrell of laughs.
