JAGGER ROCKS BUSH: 'HOW COME YOU'RE SO WRONG, MY SWEET NEO-CON'
"You call yourself a Christian, I call you a hypocrite/ You call yourself a patriot. Well, I think your are full of sh*t!... How come you're so wrong, my sweet neo-con."
Ready to drop in the coming weeks, a new Bush-bashing tune from the ROLLING STONES: "Sweet Neo Con."
"It is direct," Mick Jagger says with a laugh to fresh editions of NEWSWEEK.
"Keith [Roberts] said, 'It's not really metaphorical.' I think he's a bit worried because he lives in the U.S." Jagger explains. "But I don't."
The lyric also mocks National Security Advisor Condoleezza Rice.
News about the song surfaced a few weeks ago with many expecting that the song would not make the finally cut.
The band kicks off its world tour in Boston on Aug. 21.
Developing...
Garbage. They talk like DUmmies.
Skinny Mick is embarrassing. On the bright side, octagenarian rockers, especially clutzy ones, jumping on the bush bashing bandwagon is the fastest way to drive it out of fashion with the younger set.
Well...I won't be buying this album. The Stones are a favorite of mine and one reason was they kept their PRIVATE POLITICAL comments to themselves. Now I don't like them.
Probably won't go the way of the dixie chicks. They sucked to begin with. The stones have a win win situation. Conservatives will go because they are seeing the freaking stones man, and ignore the liberal spew. Just like we do with every movie, song, and video game out there. Some medium can toss in more spew than others depending on fame/legend rating.
Just like an old boxer - doesn't know when to retire. Like I would say about Springsteen - shut up and just sing!
Why don't you tell us what really happened to Brian Jones, Mick?

WE CAN'T DO ANY MORE DRUGS, YOU DID THEM ALL... WE HAVE TO WAIT UNTIL YOU DIE, THEN WE CAN SMOKE YOUR BODIES!!!
these are the gentelmen that in the middle 1960's when they first started making their fortune seeked assylum in this country (which welcomed them with open arms) from the insidious british tax rate in effect at that time
Too bad that scumbag wasn't in the Tube on 7/7. Might've given him a slightly different perspective.
"If the east coast is attacked by terrorists again, they deserve it".
Yeah sure, that makes sense.
Exactly. The Stones haven't released a good album since 1980's Tattoo You.
That being said, Exile on Main Street is still the Greatest Rock & Roll Record Of All Time.

maybe *I'm* the one on drugs for not pinging anyone to the last post!!! ACK!
Hey, Mick, how come you're such a has-been leader of a has-been group? The Beatles knew enough to quit when they were ahead. So did Creedence and other groups. Man, you are sooooo over.
It's been all downhill for the Stones since Mick Taylor left. The lone exception is the "Some Girls" record from 1978.
When the Stones are playing to half-filled arenas on this tour, Mick may wish for a "do over."
