Barbarella has been named the sexiest sci-fi character of all time.
The inter-galactic babe, played by Jane Fonda in the 1968 film, topped the poll by influential movie magazine 'Film Review' because of her sexy opening scenes.
The magazine said: "Getting dressed in zero gravity has never looked as good as in the opening sequence of this classic sci-fi film."
Fitness guru Jane Fonda, who played the role when she was 31, beat off competition from more recent characters, including 'Alien' star Sigourney Weaver and 'Matrix' beauty Carrie Anne Moss, to win the accolade.
The magazine described the chart-topping character as: "A sixties icon who was sweetness itself, and yet also the sexiest screen heroine ever to sport a transparent plastic vest."
Other stars nominated in the poll included 'Fifth Element' babe Milla Jovovich, who came second, and 'Terminator 3' star Kristanna Loken, who was voted in third place.
'Star Wars' beauty Carrie Fisher, who played screen siren Princess Leia in the cult hit nearly thirty years ago, also made it into the top 10.

Gabrielle Anwar in Invasion Of The Body Snatchers, the recent one
Julie Christie as Linda Montag in Fahrenheit 451
Or, if these women seem a bit overdressed, Charlotte Rampling from Zardoz!
Speaking of Zardoz, a young Sean Connery in a loincloth.
No way! I thought I felt old when Ringo turned 65 the other day, but this...sheesh! I remember seeing the very first epsiode of Star Trek like it was yesterday. . .
I enjoyed watching Barbarella when it was released.
But let me add someone who I think qualifies as well.....
Raquel Welch in "One Million Years, BC"
Does anyone have pics?

I agree Leela, "Warrior of the Sevateen" and Ramona for
example were much better than Fonda Vadim Hayden Turner.
But my favorite is #2, Leeloo from "The Fifth Element."
More like 100 if you crack your knuckles and hack em!
Number 21! Wow!
Here's back at ya!
One memorable episode of Buck Rogers featured Erin Gray being stripped by a bunch of telepathic dwarfs who were curious about her "bumps."
She must have been a damn good sport when she read that script.
