Why do you need this thread?

Isn't that what the Washington State message board is for?

It's there for this exact reason...to discuss politics and such within your own state.

People weren't happy about how the message board operated, they wanted something more like standard threads. Where things don't scroll off forever in short order (the WA message board was VERY active, quite literally orders of magitude greater than any other state board I've seen), where you can post pictures, highlight text, etc. etc.

Maybe it is because we can bookmark these threads and refer back to them. On the message boards they just continue on and on and on and you could be searching forever for a discussion you may want to refer back to.

The Washington State message board format is awful. I never posted on it because it was a royal pain in the whatever.

In addition to the other replies, it is because we are the most active state board at FreeRepublic!

All too often posted info gets lost as it is replaced with newer posts.

We'll let you know how this turns out.
