'Over There' is an ensemble drama about the members of an Army unit on their first tour of duty in Iraq. It focuses on the challenges they face, examining the effects of war on these soldiers and their families at home. The series also explores the physical, emotional and cultural issues associated with war. It is the first scripted television series set in a current, ongoing war involving the United States.

Anyone planning on watching? I may toon in just to see if their is a Liberal slant on this series.

I may watch it. Steven Bocco was interviewed by O'Reilly last night about this show. Probably better to have someone like him produce the show than say, the producer of West Wing (which I've never watched).

Thanks for the heads up. I'll watch. Hopefully, it won't have a leftist agenda.

One former US soldier says "It makes us look like idiots." Of course, the left have it both ways claiming "It's just a TV show." and "This gets to the real heart of our unlawful invasions." whenever it suits their agenda.

So far, they say members of the military who served in Iraq and have had an opportunity to preview "Over There" generally praise the show for its honest depiction of combat and life in a war zone. But you know there's no telling how the average viewer will react to a fictionalized portrayal of the war.

Tony Snow yesterday wasn't very complementary; nor was a group of soldier-reviewers who said it was unrealistic hype.

So now we have 2 shows coming on that.

1. Shows us a war we shouldn't be fighting, and

2. A female president ( Hillary? ).

No thanks.

No. We don't need a show airing about an ongoing war.

I'll predict that the show won't last more than a season. It'll be over before its "over, over there". (George M. Cohan?)

At Wolf Trap in Virginia. It's an outdoor ampitheater, half covered (good in case of thunderstorms tonight) but also with lawn seating areas. A great venue for a show! It will be hot as Hades but who cares? Lyle's from Houston so he's used to heat and humidity!
