As best I can tell:

All in all, not pretty. Severe pottymouth warning.

"The 16 year-old kid is the only adult in this household"

I disagree. . .smug little bas##rd. . .played his mom and teased her and knew how to push her buttons. . .he knew he was running the camera. . .knew he was being recorded and was playing games.

The whole situation stinks.

Not a single adult there.

Ever think this is his reaction to the abuse he has to deal with. Would you rather the kid just scream back at her. This is dysfunction breeding dysfunction and the kid seems to be pretty level headed considering how he was obviously raised. People like her should not have children. The problem with this country is there are too many immature, abusive or dysfunctional people breeding and further generations are being fouled worse than the next. At least this kid seems to get it. He may be screwed in the head, but he was most likely raised in a barn. The kids failings are direct results of the trash who feebly attempted raising him.

Who said anything different.

The kid was acting just as juvenile and stupid and asinine as everyone else.

He prodded and poked and teased her.

Didn't have to.

Wow...what a trashy mouth that "mother" has! I hope that kid used that video to show child protective services what kind of treatment he gets at home. If he is at all lucky, he has been emancipated!

For the "father" to say that the mother has provided for them for 16 years is just absurd! She is the mother...it is her responsibility to provide for her children till they are 18! She chose to have children...if she didn't want to have to support them, she should have kept her legs closed!!

Of course he didn't have to. I am not trying to argue with you on this point and I agree with you that they are all out of line. I just feel this is learned behavior because he has been raised by wolves. People don't learn how to abuse, manipulate and act like total scum in a vacuum. His behavior is a direct reflection on her as a parent. Sad thing is this is probably happening down the street from both of us right now. This is a sad reflection of something too common in our society. On the planet I was raised, things like this never happened. They are all wrong in this situation. Thing is, the mother should know better and the stepfather should grow a pair and tell her to speak like a civil human being. I have a feeling this kid was recording this for a reason.(If it is real that is).

They sounded Canadian to me, especially the father.
Other than that, I have to say, I think I am a bit stupider for having watched (listened to) it

The kid sounds like he could use a father figure to teach him how to be a man and make him stronger. There is no strength to speak of in his drama queen witch of a mother that anyone could draw upon, except maybe a restaurant owner in need of a dishwasher...JFK

If anything, I'd say the kid was reacting this way to treatment that he recieved, and probably recieves on a day to day basis. Something tells me that this is not an isolated incident. The woman is a maniac, and a terrible mother who should not have a kid.

Whew! Some serious stress going on in that house (not "home"). We don't know the dynamics behind all this - maybe he has been a real difficult child and she has lost all sense - but, obviously, this is not a one-time occurance there. I can't imagine living with a person who shreeks like that, even without the foul language. What a sick woman. It appears she got into hitting him and tossing things around in his room. Amazing that he did not get physical himself.

Sounds like the kid works; his room reflects some pretty nice stuff - did he buy that? As to his car, I wonder if he bought and paid for it, maintains it, etc. or does mom help?

This is the sort of environment that breeds our future criminals, rapists, social misfits, and of course men who breed children and then leave the mothers and children penniless. How can anyone learn anything else but being self-centered and violent after living with that kind of mother?

I hope the kid takes this video to some social service agency for review. They all need lengthy counseling.

Geeze, I need to find "The Waltons" on TV to watch now and remember how life should be.

I doubt the kid purchase the flat screen monitor , computer, car etc. He is only sixteen and if he still goes to school can not earn enough part time to buy all that. I bet his mom has purchased a lot of what he has.
Also I noticed the recording started after she went manic. Maybe she did ask nicely. In the stress she totally freaked.
No excuse for her she is trash and has serious hate issues with her son. Also the man could have given her the gas money. Is she supporting the man also?

Why would the kid want to post this unless he does like to get at his mother?

This raises a lot of questions.

Oh dear Lord. That is just heartbreaking.

Man, do I empathize with that kid. You don't sling verbal assaults around like that unless you do it on a regular basis. The mom is utterly whacked. And why isn't the dad able to help her out instead? I didn't hear anything that suggested the kid was in trouble, just that he didn't help around the house. Yet he does have a job and a car.

Prayers of courage and strength for him are going up.

I wouldn't be too sure. I know some kids who are smug little bastards, but there are too many parents who treat their kids like dirt. I bought my own car when I was 17, and helped my parents out alot, financially and other ways.
Fortunately they weren't maniacs.
Good point about him running the camera though.
