Last night, many of us read the thread wherein Petronski announced his coming marriage to madame Cyborg. (Check DRUDGE: Unnamed Senior White House source: Cyborg and Petronski to be married...). During the course of the Cyborg-Petronski Thread, the subject of a Free Republic feature wherein single Freepers can meet their fellow conservatives.
I have a simple proposition. We could start a regular thread akin to the Freeper Canteen. Such a regular thread could serve as an opportunity for single Freepers to engage in Virtual Mingling. Also, any Freepers who have single, conservative offspring would be welcome to participate so as to arrange for introductions for their kids.
Special note to Jim: Just think of how many conservative would not have met fellow right-minded folks had it not been for FR! Cyborg and Petronski owe you one.

It's really weird seeing pictures of FRiends for the first time...sort of like seeing a radio personality!

Now count the male faces, count the female faces, and do the math, and you'll see why your idea will have trouble getting off the ground. ;) Another problem is, many of those folks have subsequently been banned or have just left FR for other reasons.

Cyborg, Rmdupree and Repubmommy are already taken. Besides, I've been having luck with Craig's List as of late.

We know Cyborg is taken. 'Twas the announcement of her impending union with Petronski that has inspired the experiment.

I should share my Criag's List rant then, but since you're having luck, I'll refrain.
What city?

I know, it would've been the saddest day of my life, but I met a nice girl from Guatemala by way of NYC yesterday. She's also a scientist.

Seattle. Turns out this town is not entirely comprised of Bull Dykes and Hippies (just about 90% of them!).

I know of at least one conservative in Seattle. One of my professors has a daughter who live there - she makes Reagan look moderate.

All the right wingers in Seattle can fit into a phone booth. The two girls I met this week (one from Iran, the other from my home of NY) are both center-left in their politics, which makes them members of the far right here in Seattle.
