Hey... how cool would it be to find a squad of DUmmies out there who would be willing to go head to head? Any of you like to lurk on DU? hehe... start a thread called "Lets kill some Freepers" Could be a real hoot. (At least maybe they could possibly have a 'Virtual' victory ;)

Or, maybe we could just meet up sometime to do some squad level sky diving over an enemy outpost... Death From Above!

Well if you had Operation flashpoint gladly. My video card (a GF2) cannot run Battlefield 2 though. But in OFP I like to pilot the AH64D. The ultimate death from above :)

LOL I have a hard time justifiying 300 bucks when there are few good games out. The kind of games that you never get tired of. Far Cry was cool for example but got tiring because the gameplay/story is liniear and not dynamic (like Deus Ex or Diablo/Diablo 2 or a tactical game like Operation Flashpoint)

musta been the 1.02 update.
That server shoulda been packed tonight.
I think it's because the patch is so new.

Rox musta updated to 1.02 last night (lost track of the server)
Which would explain a lot now.

Could be the patch, I also updated the nVidia mobo drivers yesterday. Could be that no one ever talked to me...yours was the first voice I've heard.

Thanks for the welcome guys. I never saw the attraction of on-line games until I tried WoW. Now I know what all the fuss was about.

Such a massive world to role-play in, so many avenues to go. Its really amazing! I'm still trying to decide which charter will be my main. I have an undead warrior at level 9, dwarf warrior lvl 12 and a lvl 11 Druid that are my best.

Anyway its a GREAT game!

Keep me in the loop. I am back from vacation this hour and man I am beat. 8 hours is too long a drive. I bought a headset last week as well. Are you guys using ingame VOIP or ventrilo or something?

Yes we finally talked over the in game voip. We might play again later this evening. We'll ping ya later if we play.

Yes. BF2 has VOIP integrated into the game, so there's no side application needed like netmeeting or battlenet, etc.
You can only talk if your in the command loop... i.e. commander, squad leader, or squad member.
It adds a whole new dimension to the game. The radio quick commands also make it easy and convenient, so that voice is not over-used and most beneficial at squad level
