The Hobbit Hole XXIII - Let them go! Let them go!
Posted on 07/12/2005 8:11:36 PM PDT by HairOfTheDog
Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Let them go! Let them go!
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
|
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Well I ain't never
Been the barbie doll type
No I can't swig that sweet champagne
I'd rather drink beer all night
In a tavern or in a honky tonk
Or on a 4 wheel drive tailgate
I've got posters on my wall of Skynard, Kid and Strait
Some people look down on me
But I don't give a rip
I'll stand barefooted in my own front yard with a baby on my hip
Cause I'm a redneck woman
And I ain't no high class broad
I'm just a product of my raisin'
And I say "hey y'all" and "Yee Haw"
And I keep my Christmas lights on, on my front porch all year long
And I know all the words to every Charlie Daniels song
So here's to all my sisters out there keepin' it country
Let me get a big "Hell Yeah" from the redneck girls like me
Hell Yeah
Hell Yeah

I'm drinking kefir. I have found I like it plain most of all...it's very much like a slightly carbonated buttermilk. Quite refreshing! Makes your teeth feel kinda gritty.

Heh...I kept the Christmas lights on my house when I was expecting Matthew. The whole neighborhood knew to "watch for the lights" when it came near time for him to be born (in August). The last thing I did before we left for the hospital was plug them in and the whole block knew when they saw them.

I'm not a redneck woman, however.
I'm complex.

Woodbridge Red Zinfandel.
If you can find a zin with a higher alcohol content, that's the one to get. 16% is supposed to be the best, but I have yet to find a 16% red zin. it's gotta be out there, because the study said it was the best...i just can't find it.
It has to be RED zin.

Complex? Hmmm...
I always considered myself a pretty basic person that just didn't fit in anywhere. No niches for me...which is unfortunate for a person who really really wants to fit in!
~sigh~
Complex is a better word than "square peg!" :-)

Complex is good. Has sophisticated overtones with a hint of mystery.

Morning! We visited a cholesteral medicine production facility. I need coffee, obviously. I read this as "We need a cholesterol medicine production facility".
Though...maybe when we set up the HH compound, we can have such a thing...
Mmmm...vineyards...
