I had an interview with a guy who I didn't realize was barefoot, till a piece of paper fell on the floor and he picked it up with his toes and put it back on the desk. I didn't comment on it and neither did he. I think it was unrelated that I got the job.

He was a weird guy.... wetland scientist, always walked around barefoot in the office because he was constantly spraying some foul-smelling medicine on his Plantar's warts.

No, I didn't have it pulled, I never hit abuse. But I was embarrassed by it and I am glad it's gone. The story, as a news event, is big news, and I hope it gets reposted with a healthier tone. But I'm a hopeless delusional optimist :~D

Not me either but I'm glad it's gone. BTW, I finally finished Fellowship of the Rings. I've been bogged down in meaningless trifles of life that I've not had time to do some hardcore reading.

I'm not sure it was as big a problem as you said... but maybe it was. But the larger point is whether we can convince some Rangers to party in the Square for the next N number of weeks and/or months.

Now THAT would be worth the price of admission.

My post that didn't make it was about the Rangers in Tacoma that reclaimed a few blocks of the hilltop under force of arms and sheer cajones. Seems like maybe a similar thing could happen again.

It might be, but I'd rather when our troops come home they go someplace more pleasant than to suffer barfights with thugs.

Those guys that did it are thugs and I want them caught. There was just too much of the wrong sort of blood-lust on that thread, and it was so pervasive and so hard to nail down to a particular post or poster I found myself a bit overwhelmed.
