Those guys that did it are thugs and I want them caught. There was just too much of the wrong sort of blood-lust on that thread, and it was so pervasive and so hard to nail down to a particular post or poster I found myself a bit overwhelmed.
Yes, it was bloodlust. Not that there's anything wrong with that.
I do honestly think that the outrage was about the fact that it was returning soldiers that were attacked by garden variety gang bangers that provoked the outrage Du Jour.
There *is* something offensive about that. And NO... it's not about race... its about the callous attitude and reporting of crime.
Said another way: If TWO US Army Soldiers were vicously beaten three weeks ago in BAGHDAD it would most certainly have made front page news everywhere. But since it happened in SEATTLE there is no story.
What is the US EXIT STRATEGY from SEATTLE??
