Have you got your hurricane plan in place?
I've got plenty of water and batteries.
Bought a couple of gallons of milk to go along with the full grocery shopping I did on Sunday, so we're good.
The flooding will probably affect my plans to go riding this weekend though. :-(
So...are you with the crew that stays at work to get the payrolls out or the crew that tries to look after the work crew's properties? :)
Heh, heh. ;o)
Today we had to put in a new corner in the front pasture.
Heres the old corner
a shoddy piece of work anyway
and when we
tightened the wire last week doing maintenance, we broke it right off at the
ground. oops.
Heres the new corner This is where it sat as we broke for some lunch. Posts all in but need to put the wire back on it.
Scenes from driving the truck through with all the posts and tools
Cyn really didnt want to have to move.
And here it is with the wire back on it
nearly done. Not too bad a job if we say so ourselves!
WooHoo!! Prayers will be a storming the gates for you for the interview for Cool Company!

I'm with the crew that stays and gets the payroll out.
But you can bet that I'll push as many of them to other regions as I can. I certainly don't want to wait until the water gets so deep by my house that I'll have to abandon my car and wade home.
Don't laugh. It's happened.
Water got so deep that the news stations came out and their vans stalled trying to get to the "deep spots". :-D
Last time we had a flood, I actually ~floated~ my car into the driveway. No lie.
I have huge feet, so I need good shoes to keep them tamed.
Love those light teal ones too; I just cannot wear heels! I always feel like I'm gonna fall off of them! My Daddy always called me Slewfoot Sue cause I was so clumsy.
Nice lookin' gate ya got there, sis.
And the horses are lovely as usual.
The man ain't half bad either. *grin*

Naturalizers are vey comfortable! And they come in Wide sizes. ;o)
Nice job! You really do good fences.
Hah... I do believe it. Especially after seeing that video that our Miami office guy took of the almost knee-deep water throughout the whole office. People were sitting at desks... werkin' away... pants rolled up to the knees. LOL.
Here's to hoping this is not a major storm for you... I'd tell ya to get to high ground, but that would mean leaving the state!
Hiccup!
Scary stuff when you think about electricity!
Florida Power & Light is really good about turning the power off when it needs to be and turning it back on as soon as possible. - so I don't worry.
Much.
Well, I've gotten pretty practiced at fencing. That other corner was an eyesore and an embarrassment, even before we broke it :~D
And Bruce has learned it fast too, since he's been here. I asked him if he ever thought, when he was in Minneapolis, that he'd someday know how to build an electric fence.
