The Hobbit Hole XXIII - Let them go! Let them go!
Posted on 07/12/2005 8:11:36 PM PDT by HairOfTheDog
Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

Let them go! Let them go!

New verse:

     | Upon the hearth the fire is red,Beneath the roof there is a bed;
But not yet weary are our feet,
Still round the corner we may meet
A sudden tree or standing stone
That none have seen but we alone.
Tree and flower and leaf and grass,
Let them pass! Let them pass!
 Hill and water under sky,
Pass them by! Pass them by!
 |
      |
      | Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate,
And though we pass them by today,
Tomorrow we may come this way
And take the hidden paths that run
Towards the Moon or to the Sun.
Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe,
Let them go! Let them go!
Sand and stone and pool and dell,
Fare you well! Fare you well!
 |
      |
Home is behind, the world ahead,And there are many paths to tread
Through shadows to the edge of night,
Until the stars are all alight.
Then world behind and home ahead,
Well wander back to home and bed.
Mist and twilight, cloud and shade,
Away shall fade! Away shall fade!
Fire and lamp, and meat and bread,
And then to bed! And then to bed!

I just think, now, that posting that would feel good...but having the axe fall suddenly Sept. 13th will feel even better.

LOL!! Then I can open it back up to just any post.

It's just galling, you know...to have them hanging around. Then that lady yesterday tried to trick me into posting an event for the other support group. See, they're trying to sway those 40 some-odd women in our egroup toward their support group. Well, it ain't gonna happen on my watch, sister! She told me it was a mistake. Mistake my eye.

To: 2Jedismom
Heh....next time they try that trick maybe you should tell them that: "Yeah, mistake my a$$!"

To: Bear_in_RoseBear
Yeah, I decided against posting it. It is rather fun stopping them. They don't know I'm moderating the egroup and they try to slip stuff past me and I stop them and ask them questions and twice now, from two different women, it's "Oops...I made a mistake".

So I open up my email and see one from the Cool Job lady. Expecting a kiss-off, I could barely look at it.
Congratulations! You are one step closer to becoming part of the Cool Job Company team!
We would like to set up an interview time to meet with you face to face and discuss the Cool Job.
We have availability on the following days:
Wednesday August 24th
Thursday August 25th
Friday August 26th
Please select a date and time and confirm via email back to me as soon as possible.
I will review the schedule and confirm the time and give you directions to our location.
Thank you again for your time!
Thank y'all so much, folks ... y'all're so supportive!
Now I have to go buy something I can wear to an interview! I'm going for a Thursday morning interview ... it's so hot here, I don't want to wilt on the way there.
Thankfully, just got my hair done this afternoon ... whew!

LOL! I do love your taglines, Rose. ;-)

I still haven't decided what I'm gonna wear for my interview. Especially shoooz. I hate dressy shoes and don't really have much in that way, except the white ones I bought for my brother's wedding, and those hurt like the dickens.

It's Colorado...I should be able to get away with fairly casual sandals, I guess.

My tagline is true! I did that! He was
livid!
No, no, you can't wear white shoes after Labor Day! Nor can you wear sandals in Colorado for long! Go get a nice pair of black pumps! I luuuuuv Naturalizers!
But, then, I luuuuuuuv me some of these, too!

I adore open-toed pumps ...!

'Course, there's a lot to be said for slingbacks ...

That red number is a mocrfiber upper and covered heel, and retails for $39.00 at Dillards, and is in my size!
This shoe may have my foot in it very soon now ...!
