I didn't like it because it didn't really give the seeds a good flush when you rinsed them...they mildewed.

Ok, thanks. I'm busy shopping (thank goodness for the internet) for this and that and ran across some seeds for sprouting. The store sells sprouters, too. Just window shoppin' at this point. They're absurdly expensive, egggspecially when all you need is a glass jar - and I have those already.

Nope, not a hallucination, but it may be a combination of a few different "Gumby" sketches.
The first is the gumby crooner that bashes himself in the head with bricks...
Gumby: Well I think TV's killed real entertainment. In the old days we used to make our own fun. At Christmas parties I used to strike myself on the bead repeatedly with blunt instruments while crooning. (sings) 'Only make believe, I love you, (hits himself on head with bricks) Only make believe that you love me, (hits himself) Others find peace of mind...'
Then another gumby quote from the Crackpot Religions sketch...
Gumby: (shouting laboriously) Basically, I believe in peace and bashing two bricks together. (he bashes two bricks together)
And another from a series of quick one-liners (vox pops) about taxes...
Gumby (standing in water) I would put a tax on all people who stand in water ... (looks round him)... Oh!
Man In Bowler Hat To boost the British economy I'd tax all foreigners living abroad.
Man In Suit I would tax the nude in my bed. No - not tax. What is the word? Oh - 'welcome'.
It's Man I would tax Racquel Welch. I've a feeling she'd tax me.

Hmm...maybe so...it's mighty close to what I remember, it's likely going on 27 years ago I saw it.
And I only saw it that one time...
It seems like it was an old guy in a white robe standing in a stream. He had a long beard and long grey hair.
It was hysterical and I remember just rolling on the floor laughing. It was just a little one liner, not an skit. It just showed this old fellow standing in a stream then bangs the bricks together and falls over backward. Ahhhhh!
ROFLOL! I still blurt it out now and then just to stune my family.

Heh...yep!
My siblings will do stuff sometimes just because they can with a DVD player - like play one sentence over and over and over and over.
When you go back and watch a scene straight through after that, it's kinda jolting. ;-)
