The Hobbit Hole XXIII - Let them go! Let them go!

Posted on 07/12/2005 8:11:36 PM PDT by HairOfTheDog

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

Let them go! Let them go!

New verse:

Upon the hearth the fire is red,
Beneath the roof there is a bed;
But not yet weary are our feet,
Still round the corner we may meet
A sudden tree or standing stone
That none have seen but we alone.
Tree and flower and leaf and grass,
Let them pass! Let them pass!
Hill and water under sky,
Pass them by! Pass them by!

Still round the corner there may wait
A new road or a secret gate,
And though we pass them by today,
Tomorrow we may come this way
And take the hidden paths that run
Towards the Moon or to the Sun.
Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe,
Let them go! Let them go!
Sand and stone and pool and dell,
Fare you well! Fare you well!

Home is behind, the world ahead,
And there are many paths to tread
Through shadows to the edge of night,
Until the stars are all alight.
Then world behind and home ahead,
We’ll wander back to home and bed.
Mist and twilight, cloud and shade,
Away shall fade! Away shall fade!
Fire and lamp, and meat and bread,
And then to bed! And then to bed!

No, no, if it were a colon it'd be saying profanity is a hobby. A semicolon denotes items on a list.

Though for some...

Hopefully those for whom profanity is a hobby are better at it than Superman. < /Obscure inside joke >

The dad in "A Christmas Story" made a hobby of profanity...

Are you working on that app yet? You want a chance to work in the Ugliest Building On The Planet, don't you?

I've got part of the paperwork. Going to call in a bit and see if they have the test portion in a format they can e-mail me. If not, I'll be heading to campus in a bit.

Yeah...I'll give 'em a chance to grab coffee and all. ;-) It's a Monday, after all!

I'm still working on the other form anyhoo, though almost done.

Have I mentioned that I'm wayyyyyy beyond being sick of typing / writing in employment history, educational history, reference info, demographic info, etc. etc. etc.?

I'm having to really fight the urge to throw myself on the ground screaming and foaming at the mouth. Wouldn't want to frighten Jill, after all.

She's used to it... hope it doesn't rain, I'd like to take a hike today. Otherwise she and I will have a Bleach marathon as long as that won't disturb you too much.

At least you've gotten good at filling in that stuff.

Has it been long enough that I can start adding that to the top of my resume?

I'm getting tired of this!

I really hate it that I can only get online during certian times of the day, and wouldn't you know it? It's usually when every one else on FR is gone to lunch or elsewhere.

Well, I guess it'll be like this while I have a job (for wich I'm very grateful of having)

But I need a life outside of it!

Sorry for the rant!

Oh,blimey!

It's time to get back to work! SHEESH!
