The Hobbit Hole XXIII - Let them go! Let them go!

Posted on 07/12/2005 8:11:36 PM PDT by HairOfTheDog

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

Let them go! Let them go!

New verse:

Upon the hearth the fire is red,
Beneath the roof there is a bed;
But not yet weary are our feet,
Still round the corner we may meet
A sudden tree or standing stone
That none have seen but we alone.
Tree and flower and leaf and grass,
Let them pass! Let them pass!
Hill and water under sky,
Pass them by! Pass them by!

Still round the corner there may wait
A new road or a secret gate,
And though we pass them by today,
Tomorrow we may come this way
And take the hidden paths that run
Towards the Moon or to the Sun.
Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe,
Let them go! Let them go!
Sand and stone and pool and dell,
Fare you well! Fare you well!

Home is behind, the world ahead,
And there are many paths to tread
Through shadows to the edge of night,
Until the stars are all alight.
Then world behind and home ahead,
We’ll wander back to home and bed.
Mist and twilight, cloud and shade,
Away shall fade! Away shall fade!
Fire and lamp, and meat and bread,
And then to bed! And then to bed!

Evening, great pics of LabMoot trail ride.

OT: you're supposed to smile. :-)

btw OT, G'nad passed along thebluelunchsack along with some turkey feathers to me at MoJAM. I'll take the turkey wing feathers out of it before I pass theblunchsack on to you. Unless you need some. :-)

*sigh*

I just wish I hadn't seen a spoiler.

I still don't know the reasons WHY what he was talking about happened, but still.

I figured you'd make better use of the feathers than I would...I'd just sit and stare at 'em.

Thank You for your support of the troops. It may not seem like a lot but it IS.

Greetings mooters... :-)

I meant to get online earlier, but got sidetracked. I misread the label on my medication(s). [hic]

I thought it said six shots every two hours. Bad time for dislexia to set inn. [hic]

Then I fumblefingered the controls on my phone, but thassanotherstory.

Hey Overtaxed... sorry to miss your visit so far. I'll try harder not to be hospitalized the next time you find yourself over in these parts. :-)

Evenin' folkses... :-)

Tam would likely go completely insane if he could get a large feather. He plays with even the bitty ones from my comforter sometimes.

He's glaring at me right now. I can't remember what I did wrong.

Cat guilt trips...
