The Hobbit Hole XXIII - Let them go! Let them go!
Posted on 07/12/2005 8:11:36 PM PDT by HairOfTheDog
Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Let them go! Let them go!
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
|
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

I would if it were the thrift store I normally go to, which is a store that raises funds for Down Syndrome individuals and they actually work in the store. They know me there.
But this is the MASSIVE SA in Downtown Tulsa...it's hugh and they don't know me from Adam.
I'm going to have Steve come home during lunch and bring me the car...I have other things I need to do anyways. I'll just have to pick him up tonight.
Besides...I hid it. ;-)

The Down Syndrome store I go to is where I got my sprouter. The one that is selling on ebay for $4.99 that I paid 59 cents for...if they had the milk bottle, it woulda probably cost me about 19 cents. They're real reasonable! LOL What did I pay for my yogurt maker? 99 cents? I don't remember but they're always much cheaper than the SA or Goodwill. I have found used items at Goodwill that cost the same as the same item brand new at Walmart. When I leave the DS place with a bargain...it's a real bargain! Makes my whole day!

I know... I freely give off that impression because I don't like to cook. My dad's lady friend thinks I can't make ice.
To: HairOfTheDog; g'nad; SuziQ
For what it's worth, Suzi and the g'nads are the only ones whose cookin' I've actually experienced.
I think the next moot needs to be long enough for everyone to cook for me.
For research purposes of course.

Heh...I know you guys care...I just also know I talk too much. ;-)
OK, one application down. Now to finish the coffee (mmmm...coffee), catch up here, finish the Barnes and Noble application, and then I'm off to REI and B&N.
I almost don't wanna turn in the B&N one, but I s'pose it doesn't hurt to apply extra places.
