Google doesn't have a 4th of July logo.

Surprise! No 4th of July graphics at Google. They must have been really encouraged by the flak they got on Memorial Day.

If anybody still reads Google...
To: Graymatter
You know, that might be an even MORE plain logo than they usually have up....

Google hates America and America should hate Google.

Hate is a strong word.
I don't HATE anyone.
I do question their motives and I don't think I will use them as much, but they have made their choice, as they are allowed to do. I don't hate them for it.

They were late with getting the logo updated.

Now they're teasing us, eh? The graphic went up shortly after 9 am eastern.
I mostly use Dogpile now. They've got an unlovely little dog there, runaway bride eyes on him...but at least they respect American holidays.

Yahoo's nod to our Independence is pretty small - very top of page there's a small flag with a round of fireworks...

OK...How about "resent?"
Google resents America and America resents Google.
To: Sloth
I like that one.
Maybe you should send it to them and freak them out.
(Which is probably exactly what it would do to them...)

I personally do not care, at all, what Google chooses to to do with their logo. Their history of bias in their advertising program is a lot more troubling.

With the 4th of July Comet impact in the news and coming right after midnight to celebrate the holiday you would think they would have had a logo up 9 hours ago if they were planning it at all.
