I guess I see your point. Reporters should only do stories that fall squarely in their laps. Their time is valuable, after all, and how important can a story be if they have to chase it down.

All the real important stories come over the wire anyway, so there's no need to ever leave the office. Most of the time there's not even a need to rewrite the wire copy.

The best stories write themselves, or rather, are written by someone else!

Oh, trust me, this'll get written about; this is just too good of a story to not be written.

But I need to line up the Max Amann of the Andyites to publish the book.

Most days, Benbirch asserts that we are going to jail. One day he wrote that he didn't have anything to do with any filed complaints because he was trying to maintain a level of objectivity.

I think that was over on the Malloy site in the John Dean Slugs or Sluggo thread.

I haven't been to the Malloy site in days because it's mostly populated with idiots. The few intelligent people who show up get banned and then the gang of idiots pats themselves on the back for their debating skills.

But some of it dribbled out here and at Misty's. Epee is a virtual one woman team at Misty's.

DUmmie "merh" has posted the article about 57 times over at DU. Isn't "merh" the one who said all growths of the pancreas are cancerous, it just depends on whether or not they are benign or malignant?

And they wonder why people have questions?

Actually, I've been too busy to follow the Scamdy thing very closely, and it looks like franksolich hasn't been able to keep up with his Norway ping list because he's been too involved with Scamdy. I've been lucky to be able to follow the DUFU's. So I'm not sure which threat you're talking about (there have been so many!).

Anyway, you may have seen this before, but in case you haven't:

Well, I've noticed the Andyites throw around medical terminology like snowflakes in a blizzard.....without being exactly sure what those words mean.

They tend to be just as ignorant, just as sloppy, as physicians as they do as attorneys.

Bah, humbug.

There's no real way of knowing for sure, but I suspect Disgruntled is actually the Second Head Warden "Elad."

I could be wrong, but he surely looks familiar.

Disgruntled is DEFINITELY not the dirty one.

This gets rather childish, with all these rich kids--middle-aged actually--and their "cute" little "games" of using different screen-names.

One expects more mature conduct out of people old enough to be grandparents.....but these are rich kids after all, who never grew up.

Karen Johnson, a nurse practitioner, who became his primary care provider

A nurse practitioner diagnosed cancer?? What's wrong with this picture?

Without going back to the 'article' I really don't remember saying that 'she' diagnosed his condition.

Once again we have a skate. Who diagnosed 'pancreatic cancer' and when. That is the crux of this matter.

She's the only "medical" person saying he has cancer in the article.

Well, let's be fair here, though.

Fair would be getting some facts...But that would require "work" guess "journalist" today can't take the time.

She is the only 'medical' person who has said pancreatic cancer at all. All of the rest were shills asking for money, or FOA doing a CYA.

But it is still vague as to when 'pancreatic cancer' was 'diagnosed'. And she may be using the term 'pancreatic cancer' very loosly.

Well, alas, that thread on the other conservative web-site dropped like a lead balloon when I asked Disgruntled a question.

He cut and ran.

BTW I've never seen you so adamant, you sounded mad there, not the usual easy going Franksolich.

To: feefee; All

if someone has a link to the "shrimp-gumbo" thread, would you please post it with a ping or send it to me?

that is not the title, it is in reference to a discussion further down the thread (sfexpat1234 is concerned about rice PM's, then receives a box, then opens it, finds shrimps, and sfexpat1234 and merh discuss the hits upon the website). i have no idea what the original topic of the thread was, i was looking at the shrimp gumbo discussion.

i've been through my bookmarks on my browsers and, apparently, i did not bookmark this one or i can't find it right now.

i would like to take a look at it, if anyone out there has it.

thanks,
f
