Many Freepers grew up in what they considered to be the golden age of Rock concerts. Of course, it may have had more to do with the fact that we were young and fanatical about the music in our youth. These days, ol Pissant prefers the Seattle Symphony Orchestra, Military Band music and Jazz, but I have some very fond memories of the craziness of my Rock concert yesteryears. Im quite sure many of you have some concert stories that rival and surpass mine. So this thread is the place to share!
Following are 2 concert experiences that left a permanent scar on me! ;o)
Hope the clearest memory wasn't waking up next to the toilet bowl! ;o)
Yes. At least in music.
Aw c'mon. Give us the PG-13 version! ;o)
LOL. I won't report you! ;o)
He had a FRIGGIN PURSE!!! LOL! (I'm sure his drugs were stashed in it; but it looked so contrived: "Look, I'm a cool hippie!".)
I KNEW you'd be a MotorHead fan!!!!!
Oooh - I'm late to the thread... This is perhaps the only time and place I can ever show off my old pictures from when my friends and I got backstage at Judas Priest. I'm the one giving Rob Halford the bunny ears.
We had a great party backstage with beer and food (though we were all under age). At the time, we were surprised that and none of them hit on us. Of course, now, years later, we know why ;~D
I'm not sure that's my all time favorite concert, but it was a thrill at the time, and it's the only one I have pictures of. I've been to see many many concerts, for a time being a season ticket holder at our outdoor amphitheater, which was a great time.
Its good Metal :D Yea its kind of fast. good stuff.
Always liked Bella Linda in particular.
Bummer! LOL
Springsteen.
Four hours.
You want more, but can you survive..............
Sit tight,
Take hold,
Thunder Road !!!!!!!!!!!
The best concerts there ever were.
Queen and Johhny Cash are two I've never seen that I kick myself for missing!!!
Given Rob's hairline I'd guess that's somewhere around Screaming for Vengeance.
Oh, those pics are great!
And I love your hair. It brings back memories. :-)
I prefer the the silky, lacy type slips! LOL
It feathered all the way back to a seam in the back, lol
AWESOME PICS!!!!
The Smithereens were quite the good show from what my roommate told me back in the 1980s!
I think you're right. 84ish?
