We received some rain yesterday. Not nearly enough.

Still no rain here. The radio report says that the Indianapolis Water Company will start taking water from the reservoirs tomorrow. They are also asking people not to water their lawns.

I've been standing outside watching it sprinkle. It doesn't register in the rain gauge.

The men were standing in the ware house door,,, watching it sprinkle.

It's amazing stuff to us. We'd forgotten what rain looks like.

Still predicting 97 degree temps for this afternoon.

I walked through as this was playing, and thought tv "news", newpapers and "news" magazines are all tabloid now because the presstitutes are too lazy to give real news.

Okay, this shows my Midwest roots, too; we are generally DONE with dinner and dishes by 6 pm! (Hee!) When my folks came over for dinner for Father's Day, Dad wanted to eat at about 4 pm, but that was too early even for me, so we compromised at 4:30, LOL!

Our reservoirs are solid full, but they're asking for voluntary water restrictions anyway - so many people are watering their lawns that the treatment plants can't keep up.

I just looked at the weather forecast. Chance of thunderstorms this afternoon, but really no appreciable rain in the foreseeable future.

I am getting really tired of dragging the hoses around the yard.

We are having a plain old rainy day today .... YAY! We need the rain, though not as desperately as some of you. I wish we could share it with those of you whose need is getting critical.

We have a very busy week trying to scrunch up a lot of work into just a few days because we will be out of town next week.

We will be leaving on Tuesday to go to our annual convention. This year it is in Washington, DC ... and the keynote speakers are George H.W. and Barbara Bush .... WOOHOO!!! The location will also give us a chance to spend some time with daughter-child and her family once the convention is over.

We are hoping to be able to take Monday off for the holiday ... but that can only happen if we get invoices, payroll (payday is Tuesday), bill payments, end-of-month stuff, etc. done between now and Friday.

I just talked to the school principal about the incidents last month. He got me in contact with the Police Officer (Resource Officer) and got a report from him. He really laid-down the law to the two punks. They were blaming each other and everyone else and then he showed them the specific statute that would be used against them if they stepped out of line again. It seems to have done the job.

As far as the Dean who wasn't treating our son well. I implied a perception of inequality (better than calling her a friggin' racist) by our son. She called me today and denied it. I pointed out the sensitivity due to the experiences over the past two years. In the end, she admitted that she would not be the dean of our son's class next year, but was going to the 8th grade as a counselor. Obviously, we weren't the only family having problems.

Now, to enjoy the summer. Jack starts Band Camp tomorrow for the 3 1/2 weeks. Then we go to Scout Camp.

I pray you are able to get that done so you can enjoy another day off. Have a great time.
