[Soaring Feather]

My Dragon Fly and Me

If I could be a Dragon Fly
and wing my way through the sky
I would never be shy
just me and my Dragon Fly!

By moonlight we ride the wind
chase the comets tail for fun
by day we would hide from the sun
our fragile wings would come undone

On darkest nights we would use
fireflies as our guide
we would dip and we would glide
through the heavens open wide
and scatter diamonds in the night sky
my Dragon Fly and me...

And we would wing past our lovers
silent in the night...
to kiss their face in our flight
much to their surprise and delight
my Dragon Fly and me in sight...

Such a view do we share
away up here in the air
of breezes soft through our hair
my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

We've had some wonderful life giving rains at least 4" over the past few days . . . and, all of my rain gathering containers are full and my grass is green . . .life is good . . .;-)

Evening Conjecture

The sun does set above the deep wood trees,
setting rich golden red crowns above.
And we walk in sunset’s light in love,
as loneliness sets its course to flee.

The wind sets them in regal dance,
movements as grand as the minuet.
Bowing in graceful dip soft let,
offering each a passing glance.

We drink it in and stand in silence,
aware of evening's grace at last.
Holding each other till it is past,
soaking it in with every sense.

I see the sunset reflected in your eyes,
like a fire deep within you, for me?
I wonder what it is you look and see,
when soul open and we are beyond lies.

Yes, I bet they do. When I was in BonAire in the 80s those little lizards were all over the place, seemed so strange to me. We have newts and efts here, but in the creeks.
