1969: Lightning struck the Lansesbro (MN) State Fish Hatchery. In an instant 19,000 one-half pound trout were dead. Trout is some good eating fish, that's all I know about that. Sure they were tiny, but I eat smelt too. If we truly are wise stewards of our resources the whole loss should've been given to the needy (cost be damned), or whomever wanted 'em.
