It was a fun evening.
West Point had their band there doing the 1812 Overture, and my old unit was doing the artillery fire for it.
The blank round for the howitzer doesn't have any recoil to speak of.
But it can incinerate quite a few items.
Like golf balls nested in the round and launched.

My father took the pic, without a tripod, and scanned the negative on the HP scanner.
He tossed it up on photobucket and then said, "Oh, by the way, I have this image link here for you..."
*Lol*
I loved watching the stoned out kids hiding in the brush in front of the howitzers.
When we fired, they took off running across the golf course next door.
