Global Warming

Posted on 06/18/2005 8:23:57 PM PDT by bruinbirdman

I am not kidding. The days are getting longer.

Today it was 100 degrees in Las Vegas.

The president must do something.

Karl Rove here ... you ask, I answer. Look, about the days getting longer thing, it will take me a few days but I am pretty certain that I can start the trend reversing on, oh, around June 21st. OK? These things do take time but I think you will notice the days starting to get shorter again and by December I think you will be pleased. But after 12/21, I will be busy on the '06 election so don't be surprised if the days start getting longer again.

Now the temperature stuff will take a bit more doing. I won't be able to get that stabilized unti September, and it will get a little hotter before it gets cooler. Next time, ask me sooner when I'm not so busy making Dean and Durban say al those crazy things. I'm not Superman, ya know ... well, actually ... aw shucks, you found me out. I can't explain McCain, though.

It's "dry" heat, right? What's the big deal :)

Here in Upstate NY it's 62 degrees and damp. It's rained everyday for a week. Please send some heat and sunshine.

I didn't think I had to put a "sarcasm" on my post. It is a JOKE.

Mr. Rove:

Thanx for sending my request to The President.

Today is forecast for 93 degrees. We shall see if he comes across.

PS: Someone needs to tell the governor of CA that restricting $3.6 billion of clean coal burning electrical generation projects in Nevada because of CO2 emissions is unwise.

I spent 10 years in Louisiana with 90 degrees and 90% humidity under Clinton. What did he do about the heat?

Hang on. The President has arranged that in two or three days the days will start becoming shorter and the heat will begin to ease somewhat later.

I don't know. If the days get shorter, they change the time.

Look !!!! Lake Powell is down 67%; Lake Meade is down 33% and the state tells me I can't water my lawn. They say I should replace the grass with rocks. In fact they will pay me to do it.

I live 3 miles from the Colorado River in the middle of the desert and can't use water? We've only had a drought for four years.

Mr. President make it rain.

Give me a couple of days and I'll fix that for you.

Now this CA governor Schwartzguy, married a Kennedy socialist and now wants to restrict coal generated electricity in CA?

Didn't the federal reserve chairman marry a CNN socialist and proceed to cause a recession?

Is it a plan or a folly?

BTW it was only 91 in Boulder City, NV today. THANK YOU MR. PRESIDENT.

Luckily, the days are getting shorter already.

And, the Pistons and Spurs go to game seven. But that wasn't luck, it was skill.

Today is already shorter than yesterday by a couple minutes. The downhill slide to winter has begun and the trees are already tturning. Squirrels are stocking their nests. This is going to be a deep winter.
