Hello FR music fans. A light hearted thread for FReepers to discuss what music they have been listening to lately (old and new). It might be cool to be exposed to new music or old music that others might not have heard. Since I don't have a life, I'm home on a Saturday night listening to my local rock station (WRIF -Detroit).

Since this is a rather slow news night, and I know that there are a great deal of music fans on this site, I thought I'd "steal" a thread from one of the music sites I like to visit. FR is more active, and it is nice to get the opinions of fellow conservatives.....

What a coincidence that you asked this question---
My husband just made a CD for me of some songs I requested...you know my personal CD!
The song I am listening to right now is one of all time favorites...Billy Vera's "At this Moment"....love it..
I also like Meatloaf's music--he bought me a CD of them for Mother's Day...

With apologies to Skynard and a bunch of other bands, the Allman Brothers were THE best fusion of blues and southern rock to ever plug into an amp.
There is not an errant track on the entire album and, yes, it is the last rock album I ever purchased.

Wow. Another Marillion fan. We are a rare breed these days. I've been listening to 'Anoraknaphobia'(sp?) lately. I never did get 'Marillion.com' or the latest, 'Marbles'. Have you heard these or are you only a fan of the "Fish" era?

The current CD line up in my car: Kiss Alive 3, Oingo Boingo 20th Century Masters, David Bowie's Let's Dance, Genesis' Duke, and the soundtrack to the film Hard Core Logo.
