I live in Fairfax California. I have been for most of my life. I am fed up with the economy, the blackouts the crime and all the liberals. I am thinking of moving and I was wondering if any of you know a good place for an average joe like myself to live in. In a couple weeks I'll have enough money and I can take the greyhound out of here and move out of this dump. Im looking for a place where I can get jobs, not have nasty taxes, some good public transportation in a city and to other cities as well as low crime and good Bible believing churhes. Could any of you help me find a good one?
I often wonder why the Mods don't let us play with the Trolls for a bit before calling in the Viking Kitties, but after reading this thread, the answer is pretty obvious.
You have some family or other minor support where you are located now, at least some friends. Moving to another area of the country without a job or the availibility of the support of friends and family is taking a double risk.
Failure to find a job, or having a big problem despite a low paying job in a remote area could put you on the street.
Take the secretarial/administrative skills you have and use them to get a job with a company that will employ you elsewhere.
He sprung my Spidey senses right off.
I wonder wait he was baiting for?
Maybe he wanted to hear "Too many Mexicans there" or "Too many blacks here" or maybe "Don't come here, the economy sucks"

I beg to differ. I, Brad's Gramma, Gramma of Brad, found him first. Me. Me. Me. It is all about me.
Ha! ;)
He does this stuff all the time. His writing style, or lack thereof, gives it away.
Lord knows why he does it, except perhaps that Mom makes him stop playing video games during the afternoon in the hopes that he'll go out and play with the boys instead of hiding in the basement all summer.
Depends on whether the troll is a retread, and especially a completely lame-assed retread like this one.
Yeah, but you didn't use the t-word. Gotta use the t-word to be given his singed scalp to hang on the wall.
But you did voice your suspicions early. So we'll see if the kittens will share the roast troll with you (it's greasy, but an acquired taste, kinda like haggis without the filling).
But you didn't acually use the word "Troll." You have to actually say the magic word to win.
jj_fate!!!
I had him in 53 but I got here late.
Love your flag and home page.
why do you guys keep banning me?
Not sure what he is trying to do...but I don't want him in MY neighborhood!
*sigh*
OK. Fine. I'll use the *gasp*! T-word next time. :)
Here's your troll meat. Hope you're not watching your cholesterol...
Na. I don't watch cholesterol, calories, fat count or nuthin'.
But hey. Seriously. You can have him. I'm feeling in a generous mood today.
Mobile, Alabama.
Birthplace of Mardi Gras, and home to a rapidly growing economy.
We have a large aerospace sector, we are one of the nation's busiest ports, we have a fairly large chemical industry, we're the biggest banking center between New Orleans and Jacksonville, our Catholic schools are fairly cheap, and if you must send your kids to public schools, you can obtain a dispensation so they don't have to go to school where they are districted to go. This area is also undergoing a high-rise construction boom, meaning there is a large demand for construction workers, demands that will increase if they do indeed build that megasubdivision in Stockton.
We've also got plenty of places to go boating, we are an hour east of the Mississippi coast (Biloxi) and several high quality beaches are located in the Metropolitan area (we're kind of rebuilding that aspect though)
We have roughly 575,000 people in the metropolitan area, and 200,000 people in the city of Mobile.
There is also a soon to be booming tourism trade here, as we are now a home port for Carnival (and we should be adding other ships too). Mobile has all the convenience of a much larger city, without all the traffic, taxes and liberals.
So please, give Mobile a look, and if you need to know more, http://www.mobilechamber.com/economic/

Yeah! Just pick a red state and welcome to America. You should be fleeing Kalifornia like you were going over the Berlin Wall.
That Hyundai plant is the only economic growth Montgomery is going to see for a while.
Montgomery for it's tower, it's new plant and everything else, is still primarily a Black Belt town, and the crime rate has been on an upswing in that city (as opposed to certain cities on the coast)
Because, you have to remember, every major city in the South does take in some inflow for the lower classes from adjoining areas. Montgomery's adjoining rural area is one of the poorest parts of the country. Montgomery will be in 10 years what Jackson was in the 1990s, if you can avoid it, I would,
Is Round Rock safely isolated from the evil socialist influence of the Peoples' Republik of Austin? (Austin -- that single blue canker sore in the center of lovely Red-state Texas)
I suspected it, but I was giving him the benefit of the doubt. Troll meat's too gamey and tough for me.
