Michael Savage Broadsides Rush (Calls "Hush Bimbo" a Snagged Elephant, and WORSE)
6/10/05 | Self

Posted on 06/10/2005 8:24:00 AM PDT by NYC Republican

It seems to be a daily occurence... Savage, the ultimate looney nutcase, blasts President Bush from every angle, then broadsides Rush and Sean. He constantly calls Rush "Hush Bimbo", says he's nothing but a GOP mouthpiece, says that he's disgusted by Rush's constant self-promotions...

NO ONE, not even Sean, does more shameless self-promotioning than this moron.

He also said that Rush thinks his listeners are idiots, and talks to them in that way.

What a loser, what an IDIOT.

Actually, in the past, he never used to criticize the other hosts. I think after the MSNBC mess when it seemed like no other conservative voices were willing to defend him, he started to get more bitter.

Remember he was almost suspended from his radio program as well.

I heard Savage last night, I never listen but I was bored. I was pretty appalled at his juvenile name calling

He asked the caller to describe the issue and NOT name the talk show host... Then he couldn't resist... He called O'Reilly the "leprechaun", and Rush "Hush Bimbo". Not even funny

So you don't like him because he uses a stage name and has a raspy voice. Those are good reasons.

I tried to listen to him a few weeks ago when I couldn't get anyone else on the car radio. It was during one of Bush's press conferences. Savage kept ranting on and on about how the whole thing was scripted; that the reporters weren't allowed to ask about Social Security and so on, ad infinitum all the while claiming how the questions and answers were making him sick...

When a reporter (I forget who) did ask about SS, Savage's act changed to: it wasn't the right question, the answers were too vague etc.

His know-it-all attitude is just plain annoying and he never admits his mistakes.

All in all, he's a loudmouth who's impressed with his own education and enjoys telling everyone about it hourly.

I've tried and tried to listen to Savage, but his jealousy about Rush and Sean is just too transparent. Lately his biggest rant is that Bush won't come on his show. Well, when you are a nobody, why would the leader of the free world give you any of his valuable time?

I like Savage. Sometimes I have to turn him off when I'm just not in the mood, but other times he cracks me up and he makes some great points. He's a great talker/wordsmith. I also like it when he goes on about his little dog Teddy--too cute.

I love savage on radio... I used to love rush, got tired of him during his 'maha rushie' phase ... too pompous and repeat points too much. I argued with a friend he had lost it, before the drug thing came out, and that made me understand why. He is coming back now... But I still think Boortz and Glen Beck are better than Rush. I am listening to him more. Hannity to me is an incredible bore on the radio, I would rank O'Reilly below anyone. worst guy on radio. O yeah, Laura Ingram has a darn good show too.

Savage will say anything to get attention.

Well, it's working...to wit:

"In what some called a mixed bag for talk radio in general after the elections, three-time Best Selling author, Michael Savage, host of Talk Radio Network's The Michael Savage Show showed strong ratings in the Winter Book. "As Michael continues to challenge his audience and himself, the show and the ratings will just continue to grow," says Mark Masters, CEO of TRN. Talkers Magazine has recently named The Michael Savage Show as the third largest talk show in national syndication.

"Savage's recently released book, "Liberalism is a Mental Disorder" has become his third Best Seller and comes on the heels of two other of his highly successful books "The Enemy Within" and "The Savage Nation."

Michael Savage is an idiot.

This opinion is not based on this tirade against Limbaugh, which I will confess I did not even bother to read. I know what is in my septic tank without having to climb in to have a look around.

Regardless of what any of you think of Michael Savage's style, his theme is correct, even if you hate his "style". Both Hannity and Limbaugh fail to show the outrage against the Republicans they deserve. Hannity and Rush will politely criticize the "Gang of 7" and the fiscal insanity by Bush, etc., but they are both miserable failures in discussing what is important--the movement of the nation as a whole, and that is HARD LEFT, since the Republican'ts refuse to stop the left's steamroller.

Both Rush and Hannity spend 95% of their time bashing the RATs (preaching to the choir). They should spend only a small amount of time bashing RATs and the great majority discussing the REAL issues, how to make Republicans fight for border control, fiscal sanity, et al.

Don't be too harsh on Michael Savage--his theme is 100% correct, even if you don't like his style.

NO ONE, not even Sean, does more shameless self-promotioning than this moron.

How do you figure that? He gives away copies of his book as a promotional device. That's all. Rush plugs his 24/7 service constantly, his pocasts, his newsletter. You are way off on your facts.

And so what that he bashes Bush? Tell me where he has been wrong? Are you happy with the second term? I sure as hell am not, and most people on FR seem to agree, particularly on immigration. Savage himself has been warning about the dangers of drug-resistant TB for nearly 2 decades, and now we see the open borders chickens coming home to roost in CA and elsewhere. Savage has a PhD and is without peer when it comes to science and medical issues.

Savage may be excessively hyperbolic, but he at least he makes cogent arguments, which you seem incapable of doing.

I haven't listened to Savage since his dumb**s removed himself from XM Radio. Thats right! He took himself off XM Radio right before his book got released... Why? Because he is a retard.

If his use of drugs has made him deaf that's sad.

It didn't.

For those in NY, Mark Levin is the TRUE conservative, he's much more consistent on his views, and is often more entertaining than Michael Wiener

Levin's monologues are fantastic. The rest of the show is BORRRRING! He attracts the dumbest callers I have ever heard.

During the election Savage one week would be so angry with Bush he would be telling his audience he would never vote for Bush. Tune him off for a week or two and tune back in and Bush would be this countries only hope.
This went on and on.

Even better, what about moving to the next topic, and not wasting your time, or ours on this thread?

These types of threads are run like ads against Republicans. Notice how they keep getting "bumped" by one line comments. That's the pattern. Jim needs to do a statistical analysis of these types of threads and see if a more sophisticated troll is at work...

No. The reasons I don't like him is because he is a jealous man that has to bash people who are more successful than him. It is pretty sad that he is a ratings whore who feels he has to justify his ratings by blaming Drudge, Rush and everyone else. And yes the stage name is weak. What are the reasons you like him? I know, I know he's "unique". Get over it

"Trojan horse" -

Savage's tiresome attempts are to gain moderate and leftie listeners by knocking Rush and GW. He cannot get more conservatives as they don't buy his manic rants and childish "everybody else is stealing my stuff" baloney.

Much like McCain, Shays, Hagel, Spector, Snowe, Collins, etc.

Can you think of a so-called "3rd-way" politician who used similiar methods?

Who needs to listen to someone who is sane only 10% of the time?

Weiner-Savage still has a lot of the crazy radical leftist New Yorker in him.
