After receiving numerous complaints that the 1970s sucked and were not worthy of a vanity thread, here at the Pissant/CPOWife Research Center we've decided to select a decade that had more worthwhile activities to ponder. Though many positive events developed during the 1980s, there were plenty of stink-bombs as well. To further our research, we encourage everyone to participate in this scientific survey.
Without further ado, the Best and Worst of the 1980s:

I was painting my then teen-aged daughters' bedroom that day and my Dad called me and told me to turn on the TV, that the Challenger exploded. I told him to quit kiddin' around............he wasn't. Horrible day.

Well here's some more blasphemy for you... I couldn't stand Larry Bird!
It was rather fitting when he started coaching the Pacers... I thought Reggie Miller was the biggest sissy in the game, and "hated" the pacers because of him. Then Bird started coaching them, and I liked them even less than before... something I hadn't thought would be possible!
Reggie's sister Cheryl however, was one of my favorite female players... I bet he cry babied around all the time when they were kids... "Ma, Cheryl pushed me again! Boo Hoo!"

We used to put together a list every year about the ugliest men in baseball, basketball, football...
Baseball - Willie McGee was the Undisputed King until Randy Johnson showed up.
Basketball - Celtics = Robert Parish, Larry Bird, DJ, Kevin McHale (Lurch) Possibly the ugliest team in basketball - ever!
