Why not try taking a Glucosamine supplement? We take one with MSM (whatever that is), and it seems to keep the joints nice and lubed and not creaky. Could just be a function of the increased activity since you've been riding, but the supplement couldn't hurt.
Heh... yesterday I picked up potatssium and calcium to take along with my multivitamin. If I take much more I'm gonna feel like an old lady.
