Thanks for sharing the pictures. I drove down from Kerrville to go to the big doings. I was the very first person (er, hobbit) to go into the exhibit.

That was very exciting. I was planning on staying until 6AM, but about 3:30, my travelling companions started whining they were tired, hungry, nauseous- dying, etc.

So we left at 4:00 AM-I am definitely going to go to the exhibit again..Boromir in the boat was more real looking than real..

If they would have just ran the heat & humidity out of Houston for the opening, it would have been perfect.

Yeah, Houston heat will kill any good time.
It was a great night through. Glad you and your friends were able to attend. We didn't get home until 4:00 a.m.. . ..like to have killed my husband. He loved it as we all did and felt very blessed to have been a part of it.

That WAS disconcerting, wasn't it? Did y'all get a picture at the set-up where they were doing forced perspectives? Clare and I did that at the exhibit in Boston. If I can figure out a way to set it up, I'll send it later.
