Sorry... was having big trouble with connectivity on my wifi connection here at the watering hole. that post was about the fifth or sixth time I'd tried to actually post something, with little success.
Seems that the wifi issues are solved for the moment. Sorry for the distraction. :-)

I can't go home. 16 is backed up to I-5, and I-5 is backed up from Tacoma to Southcenter, and 405 is backed up from Southcenter to Bellevue.
I could push my car there faster. I'll be going down in the morning.

On a birthday note, I got home from a full afternoon of errands with Clare to find, count em, 4 dozen rose buds sitting in a box on the island in my kitchen! They are just gorgeous, and have not even started opening yet. They're gonna be pretty when they do!! They're an assortment of colors; a pretty deep pink, red, bright orange, a peach/white blend, and a lovely yellow. I'll have to get a picture. There were so many, I didn't have a vase large enough for all of them together, so I split them between 2 vases.

Gots a big weekend planned. Although since I didn't get to it tonight, I'll have to get up early to put dirt on the 'maters.
So tomorrow a.m. I'll work in the yard/garden. Tomorrow afternoon we're taking Luke to King's Dominion. They do three nights of fireworks, so we're going tomorrow.
Choir has a special Sunday and there's a church picnic afterwards. My brother-in-law is taking me out later so we can drink and commiserate.
Monday, we gots grillin' at the pool. And we might go down to the County Fairgrounds for more fireworks. Several guys from the church are in a swing band and always play at the fairgrounds on the 4th.
I'm already tired.

Yes, but I'm not answering my cell phone or reading my email for the rest of the weekend.
While I was in the ER, got a message that the chlorine pipe was leaking at the pool. They got it patched and hopefully called someone.
Then I get an email that our concessions coordinator has resigned. Fortunately she found someone to take over her responsibilities.

Sheesh. Yah. Be out of touch for the weekend! Let them deal with their own problems.
If it were only that easy. Half of them are on vacation this week. Including the treasurer and the membership coordinator.
We'll survive, and I'll stick it out until Labor Day.
Oh, and Jr's girlfriend just broke up with him.

We're (OB, LSA, and I)going out shootin' tomorrow morning, then back to TheNewOldHouse (with TheSunRoom) for burgers, brew, and apple pie. Race is Saturday night. Will hopefully do some yard work Sunday and/or Monday depending on the weather. If it rains, I might just paint the bedroom....or I might not. :)
Yeah. I didn't think it would last much longer. But she waited until he got back from choir tour. He was all excited because Monday is there "five month anniversary."
Of course he'll be okay. It'll just take a while.

That always helps. Haven't checked the level of my kitchen floor but I don't have things rolling from one end to the other.
