Stretch more and eat bananas. Other than that I am not sure. It is not a normal biking thing so you probably stressed something. Are you doing toe-touch type stretches? Do those together and also one leg at a time. What part of the knee hurts? back? sides? under the kneecap?

Looks like I just upgraded to biking everyday. My car did not start this morning :P
So much for going to Chicago for the 4th... drat.

That seems like a good way to get killed...

Uh... sides of knee hurt. I will work harder at the toe-touch stretches, I usually don't do much of that because it's embarrassing (I can't get near my toes, never have been able to).

Oh, dear! Got any clue what's wrong with the car?

Evil geniuses don't build lares in Hawaii. They buy their own island. Silly.

May I offer you an English muffin?

Thanks, but no. I'm trying to reduce the carbs, so I'm gonna fix an omelet. I haven't eaten yet. SSQ is taking the day off and we've been doing our planning of tasks for the day. Gotta go pick up the approved building permit for the temporary deck and new doorway from the garage to it (WooHoo we're finally getting rolling doing some construction!).

Clare and I are going looking for her a digital camera. We're going halfsies with her on the cost, since we hadn't planned to buy one for her, but it would be nice for her to have on the trip. She hasn't found one that she is in love with yet, but she's going to look at a few more, then we'll go internet shopping.

We won an auction this morning for an DVD player that SSQ has been looking for for months! It is unavailable from the manufacturer, because the most recent shipment of them is stuck in CA at the docks because of some disagreement with some American DVD manufacturers or distributors over something or the other. Anyway, he found a used one! It will be great for watching movies; great reproduction of the high resolution from the DVDs and HiDef programming. He is really an internet shopper par excellence! He's found some just fabulous bargains for doing the addition, so we're gonna have an Ebay house! ;o)

All I'm saying is that I should never self-diagnose from the Internet...

If I take much more I'm gonna feel like an old lady.

I thought you already did, that's why I was suggesting the supplements! ;o)

Nice snaig, BTW! I didn't even notice it was that close!

I know, I know. If I start looking I'll discover I probably have kneecap cancer or something ;-)

Heh, well, my skills are honed by being in the presence of such masters.

Right now my knees feel like they belong to an old lady, but my brain thinks it's fifteen. I'd rather have it this way than the other way around.

I have never been good at those either. With just one leg I can go down a long way but both together has always been a weak spot. Doing more ab exercises seems to help though. That and stretching them singlely first, either by sitting with the legs in a V or by putting it up on a table of window sill. I have been sore in strange places this week because I slacked off on my stretching. My running is up to 27 minutes though! woot! I have have not done that much in years. Now I need to find a set distance and switch from running for a set time to a set distance.

I really want a digital camera soon. If I wasn't so leery of buying used electronics, I'd try for a cheap one off of eBay, but barring that, I'm not sure where to look for deals. You'll have to let me know if you find a nice, easy to handle model at a reasonable price!

But cyber-muffins don't HAVE any carbs! :-)

Sounds like a great find on the DVD player!

Steve had some overtime on this check! I think I'm gonna buy a milk bottle! Gosh, they're not that much! Couple of bucks!

You know, when I want something, I rarely want something that's outrageously expensive. Gosh, almost never! But I usually REALLY want it! Remember that Anchor Hocking microwave bacon cooker? Gee willikers I wanted one bad! Looked and looked for one and when I finally found one I think it cost me all of 59 cents. (Then it didn't fit in my microwave....sigh.)

I'm obsessed with milk bottles!!

V stretches...*shudder*

Those will forever bring back memories of being in bootcamp, where we were required to do those while sitting on vey cold concrete in December. OK, I'm a wimp...but I hate the feeling of holding a stretch anyway, and doing it in the cold didn't help matters.

Wow, that's very impressive! I am hoping that the next time I try to go hiking, all this biking will have paid off and I'll be in better shape...

Right, I'll stop slacking with the stretching. It's no fun for me, I've never been even remotely flexible (my sibs used to make fun of me). But if it helps...

Ha ha!!!

You're a riot.

As soon as my morning chores are done, I'm off to the Antique store! (It's less than a mile away. Close enough to walk if it wasn't across Memorial, which is a vey busy road.)

Okay, so I seriesly think I'm just being paranoid, but when they say the warnings of a heart attack include:

uncomfortable pressure, fullness, squeezing, pain, or discomfort in the center of the chest that lasts for more than two minutes.

Just "how" uncomfortable do they mean? And what if this has been going on for 2-3 weeks?

I ~think~ I'm just paranoid since I got the cholesterol numbers. But I also have a headache today.

Trouble is, I've gone in before and they've found nothing. Last time I went over to MCV (Medical College of Virginia) and spent the entire day (over 7 hours) having tests to find nothing. That was a few years ago.

So, I think I'm being paranoid.

Still, I fit all the profiles. 47, white male, overweight, high cholesterol and stress out the wazoo.
