I bought the Mook "Matilda" for Clare and Joseph when they were much younger. SSQ started reading it to them one night at bedtime. He came into our room a few minutes later and said "I'm not reading that book to them!".
He hated the way Roald Dahl made most adults out to be monsters. I like Roald Dahl's twisted humor, but I can see that for younger kids, it may be a little too much.
