His natural coloring works a lot better for him. Nice eyes.
I like kinda cute better than tough guy. Kinda cute is sorta geeky.
Yeah, I kinda got that vibe, too!
He's got kind of a baby face, though.

I still find it amazing that there are organizations out there like yours that exhibit this kind of support on a day to day basis and ask for nothing in return. I would love to have one of your sheath knives if available. My stateside address is:

Thanks again for everything you organization is doing and if it is OK with you I will pass word of your efforts to my fellow soldiers.
Thank You

I liked that movie a lot. Freaked the friends I was watching it with out because I kept deducting plot points.
Heh, depends on whether you were being a film critic or a detective...
Whatever. I was right, though.

WOW!!!!!! THANK YOU VERY MUCH! Thats not at all what I had expected, but I am completely thrilled. I can't wait to hold such a fabulous knife in my hand and know that its mine. That's terrific.
Your probably right about them sitting in a warehouse for 30 years. That's a shame too. Of all the stupid things that we waisted money on for this fight and turned out not using, your knife would surely not have been in that category. I'll carry it everyday and you can rest assured that it will be put great use!
Once again THANK YOU very much!

A few quick answers to your questions.
1. You deserve a knife like this because your raised your right hand and swore to defend America.
2. The Hobbit Hole will mail you one as soon as I can get to the post office.
3. The US government has bought 30,000 of them, and it has a NSN. Camillus sells these knives to us for the same price they sell to the government. The price is VERY good.
4. We have no idea if the taxpayer's BK2s get into the hands of the troops. My suspicion is that they will sit in a warehouse for 30 years, and then be sold as surplus.
Thank you for your service to America. Please accept our humble knife with our gratitude.

His name is SSG Dan F, I don't know how he was able to get this knife, neither does he for sure, but it was the Camillus / Becker Knife and tool BK 2 "Campanion". He was given a letter stating that it was a special knife that was only given out to the front line troops in battle.

In 1999 to 2000, I served in Kosovo, immediately after 9/11 I served in Afghanistan, both with the nnn Infantry Regiment out of the [redacted]. 52 days from my return from Afghanistan, I redeployed to OIF I with the [redacted], and am currently in OIF III with the same unit.

Gooood morning!
Is it Friday yet?
Good morning!
Steve was under the weather yesterday evening...got a cold sore on his lip. Bad one...hurt clear up the side of his face. I called his doc and he called him a prescription for an anti-viral pill...just one...Valtrex and some pain pills. He just felt bad in general.
I told his doc (who's a friend of mine from hospital nursing days) that he's in the final weeks of working on his thesis. We both agreed the cold sore was likely stress-induced.
Oh, but he did get his second draft turned in on Friday!
I'm in such a mood to do DIY and gardening that I could just scream about having to be here at work and write reports. *harumph*
So he's on vacation through the 5th, right?
Don't you hate that??!
I'm flyladying my kitchen...got the fridge cleaned inside and out, the microwaves (even the one that doesn't work) cleaned inside and out, the venta-hood and stove cleaned and the oven cleaned. I even took the glass panel off the front of my oven and cleaned it! Got a fourth of my cabinets and drawers organized.
Taking a lot of stuff I don't want or which emotionally pisses me off to the Salvation Army.
