The Hobbit Hole XXII - ...Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
...Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
|
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Go to
Weather Underground and put in your location. It will give you your local weather, along with a link for banners like the one I posted. Just select the banner you want, and they'll provide the HTML code you need to paste in for it to show.

I'm off to a pool bored meeting. Wife says it wouldn't be proper to just go ahead and quit tonight...

I;m sorry Bear, but I couldn't figure out which link to click to get the banner like yours. The only thing I saw with that picture was the PDA/Mobile graphic at the top left hand corner of the page.

I'm just now getting around to watching the "Creating the Lord of the Rings Symphony" that came with the Deluxe ROTK EE set. I learned how to play a DVD and use the computer for other stuff at the same time. Sounds trivial, but it's a HUGH thing for me! I enjoyed doing the chat view this way last night.

Yeah, they kind of hide it... let's see if I can give better directions.
First, go to the main page, www.wunderground.com. Then, in the top left corner, enter your zip code and click the magnifying glass button; you should get a page detailing your area's current weather. On that page, scroll down until you see the current phases of the moon, not quite halfway down the page. Right under that, you should see a section titled "Add a NEW Weather Sticker® to your homepage!" with a description of the sticker and a link, "Click here for your Weather Sticker!". Click that link, and you should get a whole page of different banners and graphics with your area's weather info.
I'm sorry I can't give you a link to that page directly, but the link is different depending on where you're located; the link I get only works for Austin!

To: SuziQ
You're welcome! Glad it worked!

Did they make a new season of that? I saw about the first four episodes, it wasn't gripping the way "Lost" was.
Watchin' a movie here.... wine, popcorn, and random violence. Mmmm.

Yes, watching the third episode of the second season.
If you only watched four eps, I'm guessing you didn't learn the Big Secret?
